Alec Baldwin’s Defense Confronts Crime Scene Tech About 'Hidden' Evidence

Defense attorney Alex Spiro was seen getting fiery with the witness, crime scene technician Marissa Poppell, who had to take the stand again on Friday morning. Spiro confronted Poppell about her investigation of the crime scene and he believes that there was allegedly hidden evidence. Poppell is seen becoming irritated with the defense and their questions.

Famed actor and movie producer Alec Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in January for the death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins died on Baldwin’s “Rust” movie set. Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for Hutchins’ death. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

@@dangerzone6372 First of all, she's clearly being dishonest on the stand. Whenever the defense attorney "gets her," she refuses to give a straight answer. She's extremely hostile to the defense. You say she's just a crime scene technician...well, a crime scene technician shouldn't view herself as part of the prosecution team, and it's 100% obvious that she does. Second, important evidence was hidden from the defense, and she either hid it, helped hide it, or at least knew that was hidden and said nothing.

It's quite obvious that a witness is biased when they recall with acute clarity whatever specifics they're asked to by one side and then suddenly contracts selective amnesia when they're cross examined. A crime scene technician is somebody who just gathers and stores evidence. It's not her place to solve the case, or to figure out "who dunnit?", or to play on the prosecutor's team. She dusts for fingerprints and such...that's it. But it's clear that this tech was extremely hostile to the defense, was playing for Team Morrisey, and you have to wonder if this impacted how she did her job. I think her part in this fiasco needs to be investigated.
