It’s both. Things relate to each other differently. Cooking is science as it’s chemistry and even a little of physics. But the form, texture, and taste isn’t universal to everyone thus making it art too. As everyone has different tastes. Sometimes something requires 1/2 of cup exactly while others you can take away some or add some for a better taste that most agree with.
