Business of a valuable kind makes investment decisions based on at least 10 years of political stability. We have a 5 year forecast to rely, no more, and in two years, the ANC internal election will likely tell us their direction come 2029. Political stability underpins economic growth. There is no way Magnus H is reversing his bear investment strategies. Positive speech from Alec, and positive developments are taking place, but clear/ far distances we cannot see when it comes to SA.

I cheer loudly for the Bokke and Proteas, even when they are losing... because I want them to win. The bond market is like a prediction market. People putting money where there mouth is - betting their bonus. Alec is correct to note that the bond market indicates an improvement since 5 June. 188 basis points is a lot. With that said, it is worth noting that our paper remains junk, which means people don't think they will get their capital back. ie we are less in the dwang... not out of the dwang... Go and see what's happening in Europe, especially Germany. It's a sad, sad experience. The once great powerhouse of Europe is being divested and de-industrialised at a rate of knots! BASF is moving most of it's production to China, VW/Audi is moving it's production to the USA, and the list is long.... Europe is on its way to becoming a ghost town with many Euros moving to Russia (believe it or not). The influx of Germans to the Western Cape _in winter_ is another eye opener! The US debt has hit $134 trillion. Trump is going to inherit a very sick, depleted economy. The new investment avenues are in the BRICS countries. So much for your 'nonsence' talk narrative.
