It's not necessarily an everyday thing, but it happens. Sometimes you just have to accept that everybody has bad days. Even the most enthusiastic and optimistic person has them The song hit the nail on the head today, it reminds me that the next day can always get better. I'm living with my parents again 'cause of quarantine and every single day ends with a fight. The entire household tries to make it right for one person and said person still has 1000 things to complain about/is never satisfied. "I've tried to spin it 'bout a thousand different ways". Thank you for the rant.. I can really relate to what you said. Being trapped with family is hard.. I live in a 3-bedroom house, part of a family of 6. Not that I don't like my family, it's just hard to cope being here. Everyone is stressed and trapped and we're all getting sick of being cooped up with each other. Fighting with my mom is probably the hardest.. we butt heads so much that she's pretty much disowned me at this point. I'm waiting for the day when we can have a lil more space. It'd be nice to have my mom back. Today, there's no water in my glass.. hopefully the day I have my mom back will be soon- I'm longing for a drink.

I'm part of a family of 8, my mother is mentally ill (she's better than she used to be) and my father tries so hard to keep his patience and keep up with his work load. My older sister had stepped up to take my mums role, and I have to fill the rest of the gaps e.g cooking every meal. My sisters boyfriend took the father role, and my older brother took the pain in the ass role that's always causing problems. My younger siblings (in my opinion) are extremely spoilt and complain all the time about everything. Today my father came to see me and started crying (it really hurts when parents cry) "I'm so lucky to have a daughter like you" he said and that means so much to me I'm crying. Quarantine has been hard on everyone. Luckily I am now out of quarantine, but I'm sure we're going to get a spike in cases and have to go back into lockdown so I'm seeing all my friends ASAP I really hope everyone's going to make it out (semi) sane.❤️❤️❤️

We all have single rooms and still fought, we probably would've torn each other to pieces of we hadn't had that personal space. The restrictions have been lessened here, are you allowed to go outside more often too? It's gonna get better again, quarantine isn't forever💜 Wishing you the best!! Something that has always stood out to me about this song is the word "today" in the chorus. I believe that despite the other lyrics, this word gives and optimistic undertone because it implies that while yes, today is horrible, it could change at any point and get better. This is also supported by the lyrics "you need to wait until the storm just passes through" which means that at some point things will get better.

One way to help you see the good in life is imagine what the worst possible thing that could happen to you is, then imagine what the best possible thing that could happen to you is, then go somewhere in the middle and see that that’s where life usually operates. For me the worst thing that could happen to me is all the people I love either die or leave me, the best thing would be that my dad never abandoned us, the somewhere in between us only a few people I’m close to have died and my dad is trying to be in my life again. That’s not perfect, but it’s all that I can ask for, and I hope this helped those out there who are either pessimistic or the optimists that keep getting disappointed. Just cause things don’t work out perfectly, doesn’t mean they worked out the worst they could.
