Iam convinced that is is the most beautiful melody ever written with exceptionally wonderful lyrics to match. (But of course, I may be biased.) Hence, just about every Welsh singer and choir has wanted to record it .Which rendition is best ? It's not important: the melody is so alluring and the sheer sensitivity of the lyrics combine to form a" match made in heaven." Aled is from North Wales and pronounces the lyrics as they were written by the GREAT COMPOSER Robat Arwyn, himslf,also a true GOG. The last syllable of certain words (endings) are certainly pronounced differently by the singers from South Wales. I don't know how many Welsh listeners have noticed this or even care. It's not really important. But as a TRUE GOG I do have to smile.
