Subbed within two minutes. For someone just getting into the craft like myself, you are a goldmine. Informative and instructional but entertaining at the same time. Thank you.

I've nade quite a few knives and getting the grinds on a dagger right is really difficult. I can't imagine a wavy dagger like this being anything but a headache. Great job man.

superb,. you got my vote, think technically the hardest build of all the entries, the making steel; first ran you close but this for me is the best, plus it looks awesome, something for the likes of me to aspire to building, good one Airin, possibly your nicest piece so far, and have to say I knew who had won before it started, and sod all to do with who built what or how sadly

That’s going to be an awesome blade! Lots and lots of patients. Ha ha! I’ve tried to record myself making knives but every time I do the blade never turns out. 🤷🏻♂️. Maybe one day I’ll be good enough. Is there much difference in the 1084 and 1095?
@Aleeknives2 жыл бұрын
1084 is more forgiving in the heat treating process

I'd rather your SD card was full than your grinder motor fail! That grind looked almost impossibly difficult to freehand.
@Aleeknives2 жыл бұрын
It was pretty hard but definitely possible

It’s not a keris blade... that’s the Asian tradition.. with quillions in the western tradition this is called a flamberge dagger... or flame blade dagger.. they existed... other elements make a keris... this is a flamberge dagger
