***** Thanks. Excellent question. I used 30 seconds. The (probably) good thing is that the lens does not retract every time. With 60 seconds it does. I also temporarily removed the optional DMW-LFAC1 flexible lens cap, because that, in combination with the frequent retracting (with 60s) caused slight irregularities with framing in previous, unpublished time lapse videos. BTW, I tried (but could not get to work, perhaps because I did not research well enough) to use HDR shots to make the time lapse video (as I did with my old Canon G12). So the post processing / creation of the 4K time lapse video inside the LX100 is a breeze (
