He's shown his process on Instagram and it was just so amazing. He stood in front of his keyboard, laid down the beat, laid down the melody, then laid down the vocals over everything and you could see him put it together from the beginning. Instant classic. It was like he didn't even remember he was being videoed. He just closed those beautiful eyes like that was the on-switch to start the process, and he didn't stop until he had created the masterpiece called "Tonight". I'll bet you that he has enough music for more than 10 albums. He has written a new song every day since he started on Idol. He already had enough that we knew of for 2-3 albums, but like every prolific songwriter, they never reveal just how many songs they have written. I'm sure he's just waiting to open the vault and stun the world. What I've noticed about him is that just as soon as you think you know what he's going to do, he flips the script and shocks the hell out of everybody!

What people listening have not realized is Alejandro is not just playing different music. He is reimagining both the Piano and the Guitar. He plays a guitar like a piano and he plays a piano like a guitar. Which is crazy hard to do and still keep impeccable timing. I can’t believe you brought up Shawshank Redemption! I thought of his music in relation to that as well. The scene where Andy plays the opera for himself and for all the prisoners is the most poignant moment and makes me cry everytime.
