About the rider:
Alejandro Valverde is a Spanish road racing cyclist for Movistar Team. His biggest wins have been the 2009 Vuelta a España, Liège-Bastogne-Liège three times, La Flèche Wallonne four times, the Clásica de San Sebastián twice. He is known as being very consistent during the whole season meanwhile he combines different specialities as being a strong climber, good sprinter, decent at time trialing and a great punchuer as well. It is one of the reasons to he has won UCI World Tour twice.
