I’m 13 and I want to get good at the drums. I watched the paradiddles,singles, and doubles videos.I’ve been practicing on my practice pad.And it made my arms burn but it help with my speed thanks for the help!!

Well done. You've got this. If you don't have a set try to play air drums lol. Try the simplest rythm. In the drum set you have to cross your hands. Your right hand will play left (high hat) and your left will play the snare bellow. Push your right foot to the ground to play the boot (bass) there's a lot of videos to show the simple rythm. I started when I was 13 too. It's totally worth it. Keep this up.

@@1dforever-z4m you're doing great. Learn the proper technique to hold the drum sticks. It will get you a long way. Learn the basic grooves and breaks and don't be scared to make your own. Just put your favorite song on and start playing! Also learn the paradiddles. R L R R L R L L Search it on KZbin and practice that. It's the secret to drumming.

Your demonstration is Excellent. High stroke followed by two lower strokes nice…seen at faster tempos. I was taught that double strokes may be played at lower level closer to the drum be it rolls or paradiddles.

I started learning drums 2 weeks ago. Today I could hold a paradiddle at 160 bpm after 2 weeks. The key was accenting the downbeat on 1, raising my stick after 2, and practicing to kpop music LOL.

Im left handed and i can keep up with these but my right hand is just a tad weaker than my left making the strokes sound inconsistent. Off to find left hand strengthening routines

Just raw practice, i cant even do 16th at the start but i keep practicing at slow tempo, control should come first and then speed comes naturally, i could hit 32nd pretty comfortably now Hope it helps😊

The tick tick sound is a Quarter note (¼) when you add a note between each tick tick sound it becomes 8 note, and if you add another total of 8notes again ut becomes 16th note and so on
