It's been 2 weeks that I follow this warmup before every single session and I've seen my singles getting so much better, even the motions, wrist and finger techniques are getting better and better, more precise every time. I also take advantage of this to mark the time with my left foot on the hi hat, swithcing between downbeats and upbeats. Every other day I also do the warmup once again but with my feet on the double pedal and it helps a lot too ! On top of that I can't get bored with the nice melodies and it's become a sort of meditation, so I can't thank you enough for putting this together. I only wish you'd done the same with the 180bpm with this nice melody on top. It's stupid, but it's way easier to get down to it knowing there's a melody behind, because it's still playing music rather than playing to a metronome alone and it's way more enjoyable. When I found this video I was starting to feel some pain in my right hand hence looking for a good warmup. Since I do it the pain has gone so it's another motivation to keep warming up every time.

Thanks so much Jeff, been playing for 4 years and usually don’t warm up longer than 5 minutes. As soon as I finished the warmup and started playing I immediately noticed an improvement in how clean my playing was. Usually I would just start playing and my fingers and wrists would cramp up but the warmup really helped, one of my favorite drum channels!

Great, a KZbin drumming video that mentions lack of warm up can cause injury! 👍 Even with wrist strokes Gladstone is great, let the stick bounce up to where you threw it from with fluid wrist motion, it's faster, (unless you're changing dynamic level) instead of stopping the bounce and then lifting the stick back. Great exercises.. Do the exercises at every dynamic level, this will increase your expression/dynamics control when playing.

Thank you for this, seriously thank you so much, I’ve never had a very concrete routine for warm ups, and this has really been helping me. I’ve been doing it for about 3 weeks now twice a day and my hands are better than ever. I also started doing my hands and feet at the same time with this and that is working wonders for strength and control especially with my weak left foot. Thank you 🙏🏻
