how did u get the 26? im a bit lost but very helpful video saving me from chem 100%

I had an odd number of oxygen on the right (13). The oxygen on the left side comes in pairs (O2) which means I would never be able to get 13 oxygen on the left (6 O2 is 12 oxygen, 7 O2 is 14 oxygen). In this situation, I double the oxygen on the right, which means I now have 26 oxygen on the right. This is an even number of oxygen, so I can now balance the oxygen on the left.

What happens if when you double it it still doesn't work? Do you double it again???
@RoxiHulet2 жыл бұрын
If that happened to me, I’d check all my work before doubling it again. Make sure you copied everything from the original equation correctly, and make sure you’re adding up everything correctly. And if it’s all correct, go ahead and double it again.

@@RoxiHulet my problem is I’m getting numbers like 4 and 6. There’s no way to double it and make it work I just don’t know what to do to fix it.

your videos are really helpful but 1 out of 10 questions in this topic are only this simple..

No matter how hard the equation is, you can solve it using this method. Give it a try - I know you can do it!!

Kind of annoying pattern I noticed with your videos, You only explain the basic step examples. ALEKS unfortunately is predominantly composed LONG extensive ones. While this gives a surface explanation, it would be much better to watch you balance out a much longer one. I have been trying this problem for the past hour and have yet to get an example this easy.

First, thanks for the feedback. You are definitely welcome to not watch if you find my videos to be annoying. :) Second, regardless of the type of equation you are balancing, this is the strategy that you use. It works for both simple and complicated equations. If you show me an example of an equation that you are unable to balance, I'm more than happy to help you.
