The art amuses me. Depicting Boaz as a young man, though he was quite old.

Maybe not sooo old, Kinsman, probably a relative, but does not really depict age per se... Most definitely not in his 20's... Probably not even 30's... but even late 40's early 50's, quite old might be a bit harsh... coming from a guy in his 60's....

@@thedustyfeet According to the midrash, Ruth was forty years old and not a young woman when Boaz married her, a fact that stresses the urgency of her desire to marry and bear children (Ruth Rabbah 4:4; BT Shabbat 113b). The midrash puts Boaz’s age at that time as eighty (Ruth Rabbah 7:4; Ruth Zuta 4:13). Boaz tells Ruth: “Your latest deed of loyalty is greater than the first, in that you have not turned to younger men” (Ruth 3:10); even if Ruth married at an advanced age, the difference in ages between Boaz and Ruth was still great.

I respect and like that... This midrash is a great view into the context of story, gives it some depth to the framework of the story... And yes, at that age, I'd say that child bearing would be a priority... The honor that Boaz shows Ruth is certainly one of "wisdom of years"...

And of course, always feel free to share these here, nice to add more to the picture. Wise, learned, aged men have pondered these scrolls for thousands of years, and wisdom to be shared should be listened to....

There is sooo much more depth in the story of Ruth. Though Rabbi Dovid Fohrman alway brings out hidden truths of Torah.

Oh yes, for sure, so many layers, and we need it since she is in the line of Messiah, we have so much to unpack... Rabbi Fohrman is gifted in the way he sees and draws out scripture...

I suspect he is also reaching for Ephraim which is probably within the gates of Christianity

I tend to lean that way, and I also believe that us exploring Torah with them, those amazing people at AlephBeta, it draws us closer…. We are not the “Christianity” of the past…

The Joseph saga is my favorite, huge; 85 videos but I have never been so affected as I reflected on the multiple levels of biblical truth.Some call it karma but I call it the laws of reciprocity. Reaping and sowing and also how they atoned for wrongs
