Exited to new season, it will be long 4 months tho. I would like to add a quality of life featue: One in a season you make all campaign, if you make a new character you should have the option to skip the campaign for the new characters.

April is a loooooong way to go. D4 has its new season in January, I believe. PoE2 is in EA. PoE1 has its new season in February, I believe? Hell, even Warhammer: Inquisitor Martyr had a recent DLC thing.

Last Epoch is my absolute favorite game but another 4-5 month wait for any changes on top of the delays instantly killed all the hype I got from reading the update. I’m sure I’ll come back then but for now it feels like I gotta let go… Look forward to any LE content you make, though! Keep doing what you’re doing man

I don't care if there are only 5 players playing it, since COF plays like a stand alone game anyway.Also, they are only doing a really long season this time because of the tons of content they are adding. They are probably adding like 3 seasons worth in one season.

Of all the arpg games at present, Last Epoch has been the one I have enjoyed the most, which surprised me as I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. I am concerned though, that it could get lost in the shuffle if things are not kept fresh. I will try the next season. I worry many others will not and this great game will lose momentum. Great... he's an orb of Augmentation and a shitty rare and two blues... have fun... and then you have the absolutely toxic and braindead "git gud" army that swears the game is perfect because their dead brains can't comprehend a game that actually REWARDS YOU when you beat a boss or accomplish something... I really hope going from one mono time line to another has a distinct feel. I know each mono has a different group of maps to pick from but in reality changing monos doesn't feel any different other than resetting the bar you need to make go up

I’m fine with the season push back. There are a ton of ARPGs to play atm. Also, (personally speaking) I’ve been more excited to come back to a game when I’ve had longer layovers. End of D3 I would play a season once a year and push leaderboard and come back to it the next year. Felt like playing it for the first time with a long lay over. Idk just my thoughts play them all guys!

I will probably check it out, being I spent money on it, but my overall interest in the game feigned out pretty quickly. There’s too much quantity without the quality. I hope they’re able to pull it together, but the game desperately needs loot refinement and better enemy balancing to rid itself of all the one-shot mechanics.

Wee, Season 2025 dropping in April. Probably. Until they find out that it has to be June. Then a hotfix in September, before warming up to the grand Season 2026 patch tentatively scheduled for Q1 2026 but maybe it will be Q2. Definitely no latter than Q3. I like LE, I don't mind EHG, and I'm quite happy that they are after all planning to actually release something at some point. But it's hard to be too optimistic when a quarter year update ends up taking ~9 months. If that is the time it takes them to get things done then it would be better to rebrand the game away from being a "live service", and just make and sell DLC. Also, they're really putting their backsides in a sling if Season 2 doesn't deliver. There's not a whole lot of room for left-behind classes or skill trees that just haven't been touched up since forever. Same with skills that just don't work. It shouldn't be the case that a few bugged builds and whatever 2-3 classes are the most recent are just cruising through everything while melee builds are like pulling teeth.

Yes. You can switch back and forth even on your current character. You keep the factions level, but you need to unequip all your faction items.

Considering POE2 content variety/amount and the complete opposite for D4; Let them focus on finding a good middle ground for themselves so they can exist in their own competitive space.

The problem that I see is, that we are all banking on they fixing and making thing better for End Game, Dungeons, Bugs, Balances ect. and what if, they still have issues. As an example, lets say Dungeons are better that what they are now but still tedious, less bugs but there are still bugs (not game breaking), End game is better but still not rewarding or boring. What next, EHG will come out and be like hey guys, we heard you and the next season (Season 3) will be delayed until Jan 2026. PoE2 has an amazing core and bright feature, D4 (not playing it) is slowly improving and gathering casuals, Titan Quest is coming (excited for that one), No Rest For The Wicked (excited for that one too) is coming. I don't see myself playing LE if updates are coming 6-9 months (I did support them in S0 and S1). But if there is nothing for me as a consumer or I have to wait almost a year for an update, I might just uninstall that game. Maybe that is just me but I thing S2 is their break or make moment. Either they hit it out of the park or keep sinking. I wish them good luck either way

I keep all the ARPGs installed. I'm allready hoping between them and other games anyway. If S2 comes out I'm sure to play it. But how will LE finance itself in the future. Shouldn't be my concern. Maybe the GD route with sold Expansion would've been better for them.

I worry about EHG financially, but I'm sure they have kept their burn-rate in-mind when making this decision. Last Epoch has many innovative ideas which other studios have noticed (GGG) and it would be a shame to see the studio that implemented those ideas get closed down.

The delay hurts but like you said, there's plenty of other stuff to play, even in the ARPG genre - and even more outside of it. My big concern for them will be the loss of momentum and hype. LE is still very solidly the second game for a lot of PoE content creators, however, so if the season turns out as good as I hope it will then it should get the hype it deserves.

OBVIOUSLY they want to launch on April... PoE2 is still fooling people about being "a great game" while it's a fucking chore and horribly bad gameplay that is never rewarding you.... then in February Monster Hunter Wilds is releasing and you have NO IDEA how huge it will be... so April is a good time because there will be no new PoE contend, no new Diablo content and Last Epoch can gain some players that HOPEFULLY will see how superior it is in terms of fun, creative builds and respecting the player's time and effort... Anyway, Last Epoch is really good but people need to get their heads out of their asses and try it out!!!

double sided take. as someone who hates how underbaked games feel like they are everywhere now i cant stand seeing last epoch be in full release seasons yet still feeling like it did in early access, however its still a great game and i hope to see the updates continue, i just hope this wont bite them in the rear in the long term because they are a business and if they cant keep sustainable recurring numbers it wont matter how great the game can be in the future. its a fantastic base with a bright future, but its gonna be a while before getting there

I get that they want to do things right with minimal bugs and problems. But it would be a lot better to keep people engaged if they brought out the improvements little by little. New items one week. New skill tree the next. New skill rework for Sentinal 1 month. Just release little by little instead of all at once and literally no changes until then. So frustrating to have to wait another 5 months for anything new. Maybe split it into mini season drops. Jut to keep people playing. I love, love, love, LE. But nothing new for 5 months feels like a gut punch to me.

If I am not mistaken you get all the new content on legacy, except for pinnacle boss. Boss will be added as soon as it will be slain in a season realm.

@@sagittariusa9012 To be fair, starting a new character in LE is super easy... game is fast and easy in the campaign so you get to endgame very fast which is good since that's when an ARPG should become challenging (unlike PoE2 that thinks we should sweat against Act 1 and Act 2 bosses while the game intentionally doesn't give us gear to use for some fucked up reason)

So I´m "new" to the new age ARPG games, I´m an OG Diablo 2 Player with thousand of hours in It and back in my time there were ladders, people who made new characters in that ladder and got ranked, all the other people could still play their "old" characters without any troubles. I researched a bit and a LOT of games nowadays have this: New Season, new character Vibe and I really hate doing a new character its like timewasting for me personally as a working human being. How does last epoch manage that? Do they do this like in Path of Exile 1 where people that didn´t jumped the new season with a new character get the new things AFTER the season ended or is it like other ARPGs so I HAVE to make a new character with a new season? Really looking forward to try this game but I won´t buy It If I always have to make a new character. Or maybe this is just what ARPGs have become and I need to jump on MMOs again. for the amount of time its been, feels really lackluster to be honest. it needs to be pretty damn impressive given how much time has gone. also doesnt help that they are stubbornly stuck on auto shards and such. loot management is not good game play.

I say let em cook! I bounce between LE and D4. I tried the POE2 early access and uninstalled after about 8 hours of play. I am not playing a game where I have to spend 80% of my time going backwards. I have long grown tired of POE1's crap and I can already tell it is not going to be any different in POE2. I was hoping otherwise, but GGG is what they are, and nothing is going to change. I also love No Man's Sky and Heroes of the Storm, so I have plenty of games to keep me busy until April.

Tbh, I quit when they released the dodge roll. It made the game better played on a controller. I’m a mouse and keyboard guy. POE 2 is the only game that caters to it now. Both Last Epoch and Diablo 4 are for Xbox and PlayStation people
