Assad, and his Russian and hezbollah (Lebanese group) allies have killed 1\2 a million people and forced millions out of there homes into other countries in order to stay in power. But blame the west? The only ones who will gives these people any opportunities for a normal life. Certainly their Arab brothers won't

Most of us cannot fathom what war truly feels like. Once upon a time, although the times were not easy, there were Syrians thriving and enjoying their lives and homes. Normal everyday people wanting and doing normal things, like most of us here. To see the devastation in the eyes of people that are stateless and in dire need is heart breaking. I'm sure they also had no idea that things would come to this. Because they were normal people, minding their everyday lives, as we do. It's something to think about, and never to take for granted. Thank you Ale.

I've been reading and watching docs about these countries & Islam. The ways of Islam is to help neighbors, yet today, many of that faith choose self-preservation. "The Thinking Muslim" is a great channel that discusses varied issues in the region, including role Islam plays. It's better to be knowledgeable before making statements about other countries and cultures. There's no reason today to be uninformed for those who want to learn and have time. Still, a mere half-hour video or a few articles each week can shed light onto the darkness. Blessings.

Syria has been through much hardship from Assad, US, Russia and Israel. Only Damascus remains with rich, tourists and gov't. Syria's had only two rulers in modern times, Assad and his father. The leadership and poverty are horrific, although Syria has vast oil reserves in the northwest, which US soldiers surround. Make of that what you will. Tks for showing us the life Assad and these other countries have perpetrated on Syrians. I wish I spoke Arabic; I'd love to visit and teach kids English and basic subjects, like math, history, and current events integral to their future. It'd be helpful to have a contact of some kind, so those of us who want to help can. Blessings to you for bringing us on your journey.

Why UN create a farmer that all those people can work, the product can be sell to neighbor countries and revenue will be shared with all families. They can build better living facilities and build school to all children. They need create project that bring abundance to this people, they dont need government for help them. Just team workers and land. I fell sorry that I am not able to be there and help on that. No one in this rich planet should be in need of basic things. Even animals have basic to survive.

@GladysAlicea10 ай бұрын
I agree 100%. In the wealthiest time in human history, there's no reason why that's not the case. Still, UN claims donations are down, but most workers are not volunteers, although their pay isn't high. The highest salaries in any "non-profit charity" is paid to upper management levels, and why so many try to find ways to give directly. I don't know what UN procedure is for garnering donations, but there's obviously something missing. I managed 60 salespeople in an insurance marketing firm, a hard thing to sell. I learned that being resourceful and having great phone and sales skills, along with other knowledge, proved a great advantage. Same applies to charities.

Abide by the government rules and regulations where ever you are born and stay in your own country irrespective whether theres a war or not. Adopt and accept the situation and work with whatever means in your community, whether you agree or disagree with anything or not. Denounce your religious views and practice peace in your household. Offer yourself to help or work for food and housing, Adapt to whatever is necessary in your own country. UNHCF refugee camps are not the solution to solving ethnic wars, minorities, migrants, people with disabilities, isolated elderly people and children. Burdening other countries for handouts and housing to save you and your family is "less than admirable". Where there is a will there is a way! No matter how horrible and unfair coexistence.
