Hi Danielle! Been watching your older videos this afternoon. I see we both have very similar tastes. I absolutely loved the rabbit head cane. I also am trying to collect these- I have one with an old brass dogs head(hound). I just let go of a bunch of silver pieces- that covered dish was one of them. I just finished my gallery wall the day before Christmas Eve. It is all vintage frames with some of the original artwork. - if you can’t find the art you are looking for, try looking on the public domain. You can print them off from there. Oh, and you should maybe look into rub n buff -( wasn’t sure if you are crafty or not). Love my vintage linens as well- always on the look out for them. Glad I found your channel- stay warm in the snowy weather!

Love your finds. ❤ ( I think the store mislabeled those dishes at 7:43 as nut dishes. I’m fairly sure they are bone plates.

I really love your videos , and the way that you style all the antique items in your home. What gets me right now as everyone goes into a thrift store and they say how high the prices are. You go about 20 years back most of the stuff you could not touch in a thrift store, an auction house or online. So when I look at the dishes and you say $120 for a complete set to me it looks like a really good deal. You gotta keep in mind that 20 years ago they would’ve probably wanted $500 for that set. Also, if you go onto sites like Wayfair and other big box type of stores, check the prices out there. For their press board reproduction pieces they want a small fortune. So really when you look at a lot of these things you are getting a really good deal. Plus, you are getting the history , character, and quality in the items that you are purchasing. Thank you again for taking us on your shopping trips. I really enjoy the videos that you are producing.

My point was that most of them weren’t complete sets. I still think that is too high to charge at a thrift store. If they wanted to open an antique space they should rethink everything! lol thank you for watching!

Did you know, if your old Victorian shoes have a lot of tiny nails in the heals, they are really old. They used nails to protect the heals from wearing out. I’m sorry I don’t know the exact age, only that they were used in the early 1800s. There is a shoe repair shop near where I live and that is what he told me to look for. He gets in victorian shoes every once in a while and sells them to me for $20.00. You may want to check your repair shops, you might get lucky and they will sell them to you pretty cheap.

It’s all so beautiful, Danielle! I was so happy to find a pair of children’s ice skates for winter decor the other day for just $4! I got the idea from you. The ice skates look so cute! Question: how did you hang your copper measuring cups and tea towel under your cabinets? I like that look!
@HomeMadeVintage11 күн бұрын
I’m glad you found skates! I hope to find some actual vintage skates one day! To hang the copper I use a small tension rod and stuck it under the lip of my cabinets and it’s just enough of a lip to cover the rod so you can’t see it from afar! Oh and I use S hooks to hang them from the rod.

When I watch Thrift with me episodes on channels, I find it so interesting what is selected. You paid $27 for the brown boots, which fit your decor... but $20 for a silver bowl is too much. At least the bowl has more than one uses. It's all in what is important and what resignates to purchase.😊
@HomeMadeVintage12 күн бұрын
Haha I couldn’t justify spending $20+ on two items from one store. I definitely prefer the boots to the silver piece so that’s just how I worked it out in my head! Thank you for watching!
@AndYourLittleDog12 күн бұрын
$120 for vintage Limoges isn't outrageous, especially if those items were in good condition. Personally, I would have bought that and passed on the used shoes and tchotchkes. The Limoges china has resale value for her ebay store.
@HomeMadeVintage12 күн бұрын
I don’t care much for reselling & I can’t imagine I would be able to make anymore with a price tag of $120! lol I much prefer used Victorian boots and tchotchkes!
