I learn a ton from these vids. I've yet to experiment with pitch, pan and reverb and yet I complain about the voices all the time. Time to go for some tweaks. Great stuff, as always.

Hey Justin! Thanks a lot for putting this together... Helpful as always. It sounds really good and I can't imagine how much time you invested in trying them out to see how everything comes together as, like you said, some sounds are not that great when you hear them individually, but once you put everything together is a whole different story. Thanks!

@@demonicsweaters , last December I started researching Alesis. Saw all the factory videos, wasn't convinced. Then I found your analysis, and your video on double bass with Alesis Nitro mesh. That made me a believer. Since then I have acquired two sets, built a custom cage. Spent an eternity programming, now.. it's a sick double bass set up. Running through a Peavy PA. With two,dual JBL 15's. Still using the original kick pedals. I'm perfectly happy. Sounds amazing. Looking forward to more videos from you!

I bought two Roland KT-9 foot pedals cause of my landlord downstairs from me and they both work great , but now also got FD-9 hit pedal and used a 1/4" male to 1/8" female stereo headphone adapter, it works but can't close or open hihat ? Any thoughts on helping me figure this roland hihat connection? If it wasn't for you I would not be playing my Alesis Nitro , seriously with all the info and tips cause of my downstairs ! Thanks so much brother much appreciated!!! God bless!!!

This helped a lot but my sound won’t come out of the speaker it’s hooked up to so what can I do??

Is the hi hat pedal allowed to be set to the sound of a kick instead? Essentially making my kit have double bass?
@demonicsweaters11 ай бұрын
Yeah you can

I followed all of your instructions on making this kit but my sounds sound nothing like yours like my bass drum is really hard to hear

Hey just a small question. Since I moved to the city about a month of four ago I have the Nitro and I'm trying to create my own kits on it, like you did on the driving songs. I have created a rock like kit but there is something off and I can't really put my finger on what it is. Can I maybe send you some play of my kit, so you can hopefully help me with what is wrong? I tried looking for some kind of e-mail on your channel but I can't seem to find any. Thanks allready :)
@demonicsweaters4 жыл бұрын
Well sound is subjective, so I'm not sure how I could tell you whats wrong, but you can upload a soundcloud or something and post a link here and I'll take a listen

Is there any way to make a muted cymbal sound?
@rasketyr844 жыл бұрын
by switching the Tom with snare, that's mean that you can't play snare on the rim no?
@demonicsweaters4 жыл бұрын
yeah, you're giving up your second zone on the snare.

Hi, I am having a lot of problems recording my nitro mesh in Audacity, the sounds are unstable idk, has ups and downs,sometimes saturated. I'm using only a 1/4 to 1/8 mono cable, you think I need the L/R combo? X.X thanks
@demonicsweaters4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, that should work. Make sure you're going from the mono output, and also that you have only 1 input selected in Audacity.

I followed all of your instructions and my sounds are just terrible my snare on the same number as you sounds nothing like your same with the bass drum. Any tips?
@demonicsweaters4 жыл бұрын
I really don't know. Are you using a Nitro?
@masonharing4464 жыл бұрын
Demonic Sweaters it was actually a headphone problem

MIDI _does_ matter, but only if you need the drum tracks to play nice with your other MIDI gear…
@demonicsweaters4 жыл бұрын
That’s not what this video is about, so no it doesn’t matter in the context of this video, which I’m sure you know, you just wanted to leave a snarky comment. Well done.

@crnkmnky4 жыл бұрын
@@demonicsweaters No snark intended. I just figured someone ought to leave a bread crumb, for any newcomers who might legitimately be clueless about what MIDI is/does. If you just want a live recording like a traditional mic'd kit, then you won't be interested in syncing devices or mucking around with the performance data. Indeed, MIDI settings are irrelevant to that process.
