Thank you, so happy you did this!! Only just seen this after requesting a few weeks back. And you are correct when you say about that sound being the Albini drum sound. As PJ Harvey said "When you listen to an Albini record it sounds like like you are standing in front of a live drum kit being played", or words to that effect.

Thanks for posting this. I bought my Alesis Nitro last year ,and had been playing with stock settings on kit 5 but i wasn't happy with it yet was too intimidated to tinker with it until i watched your video now after watching this and following along i finally got a nirvana sound that i was looking for...i didn't do everything 1 to 1 for what you did but i got the sound i wanted...can't wait to record with the new setup now

I just got my Alesis Nitro Mesh in the mail (I've only practiced by beating pillows with drumsticks) and I'm having a blast trying to play with my original songs! Cool video! Are those Ddrum red shot triggers you are using on the toms? Also can the Ddrum red shot triggers be used on a regular acoustic drum kit using the alessis nitro mesh kit brain?

question #1 yes. #2, no, but not because of the triggers. The Nitro Module will double trigger and have a terrible response to mylar heads. You'll want a Roland or Yamaha module.

Is this set up can make on foo fighters sounds?

I would say Foo Fighters are a bit more polished sounding, but you could do it probably by leaving the treble up, instead of rolling it back the way I did here.

Not so hard, there’s many acoustic drum triggers available!

Not likely. Dave used bundle sticks on Unplugged. I have not really heard a drum module that emulates that sound.
