I am waiting for this to come today. I had a 66 key one and I said I would just love to keep practicing on a 88 so by the time I do become rich and get myself a Steinway (😂😂 maybe next lifetime) I will at least experience the full 88 keys. 😂 I don't expect miracles, but I do like the fact that it is white and with the whole 88 package. It gives me freedom to play the hardest pieces that I still fail at. 😂

Okay I hope that this keyboard works good for you! Yeah you definitely need to have 88 keys on a piano if you want to play really good. I am glad that this one is so cheap and I bet that others are happy about it too. Have a great day and thanks for commenting!

Are the keys weighted. I’ve been looking for a keyboard with weighted keys. Something like a real piano.

Hi, well I am new to this keyboard so do not really know much about fixing keyboards. I actually have a Yamaha P-71 keyboard that just broke on all of the C Sharp and G keys (I mean that they will not make any sound) so I am going to send it to a place where they will fix it for me. I read a lot of different solutions from people though, none helped for me but they may for you. If you just got it like you said and they are not working, I am sure it is just a broken keyboard, it must be or else it should be working. No keyboard does not work right away from getting it unless it is broken. You need to take it back if there is any way you can. But here are some solutions... Some people say "Slapping" it works, that means bang it on the back. Others so putting it on its side (the low keys on the bottom) and banging it on the bottom or sliding your finger up and down the keys. There are lots of different solutions, try looking it up. I am sure it will be helpful but the easiest thing would be to do, is returning it because I am sure the company that you bought it on (I bought mine from Amazon) will take it back as long as you bought it no longer than maybe 3 months ago? Not sure. Anyway, please write back and I will try to do my best to help you with this...

Oh, and I forgot to add that the reason I got this Alesis Recital keyboard, is because my Yamaha broke! I needed a keyboard to play on while they are fixing it.

is there any resistance on they keys? And if you ever tried a real piano, is the resistance the same?
@pianowithpeter Жыл бұрын
Sadly there is not option to set any resistance on this keyboard. I didn't know what resistance was until my teacher asked me if I could set the resistance on my keyboard. I went home and read the manual and it says nothing about it. On a real piano, the keys and resistance is much different. I guess the simplest way to put it would be that it is easier to play on this keyboard than a real piano, but real pianos sometimes sound a lot better!

The action on this instrument is appalling and bears no resemblance to an acoustic piano or even a passable digital piano. It is so heavily sprung that you need to push the key down very firmly from above and it springs back so quickly that one does not have time to move to the next key! I rather think that I can see the player here doing this and adapting to this need. I am at a loss to know quite what this instrument is supposed to be. Anyone who has previously played the piano, acoustic or digital, will find this to be an abomination! I bought this to keep in a holiday home, but I can't wait to get back to my Casio PX Privia 150 which is infinitely better.

I wouldn't waste my money on that.
@pianowithpeter Жыл бұрын
It wasn't a waste! It was only 135 dollars or something, very cheap. It may sound not so good on camera, but I GARANTEE you it is a fabulous piano, a STEAL for that price.

def not a waste

Anyway, you can connect it via MIDI to any software and will sound much better. Not a waste for beginners o people who just want it as a hobby...

I understand what you mean. It is not a true review but I had just got this keyboard and I was making this video just for fun. Since I showed some of the different things that this keyboard does I figured that I should just call it a review anyway...
