I previously had the Roland TD-15KV which was a solid kit and had decent sound especially for that year. However, I was in the market for a new e-drum kit, and I assumed I'd be buying another Roland and had my eye on the TD-25KVX. I then started hearing rumbles about the Alesis Strike and the amazing sound and feel that the Alesis delivered. After hours of research (always needed when spending thousands of $$$) between the Strike Pro and Roland TD-25KVX, I took a leap of faith, stepping away from the only thing I knew (Roland), and bought the Strike Pro. I just finished setting the kit up last weekend, and just turning the module on and playing the first kit listed, which is the Burch kit, I was completely blown away. Once I started creating my own kit and layering triggers, that took it to a whole new level, and every time I play it, I just smile with amazement. This is by far the closest thing to a real acoustic kit that I've ever experienced from an e-drum. I can't attest to reliability because I've only had it for a few days, but nonetheless, I feel like I've made the best decision.

I've seen many videos on this kit but your video gave me more useful tips than many of the others. I mean it man, even the way you setup you kit inspired me to just use cymbal stands instead of my entire rack. I've done it before, and I would have probably come up with it eventually, but the point is you saved me a lot time and effort. That also includes the hi hat settings too. These hi hats have been kicking my ass and the one thing I needed to finally get this figured out, you were able to provide. Thanks for posting!

Just purchased my Strike Pro kit and absolutely love it!! The kit was easy to set up, the module is very intuitive and has excellent sound. I was looking to buy this kit or the Roland TD17KVX and I made my choice based on the module, look and feel. The Strike Pro was an easy choice.

@@Brandonbikes I know I’m not the guy but there’s a couple problems with the Strike pro that have been fixed with the Pro Se. if you want one of these I recommend the SE as it also includes a 20” kick drum. Just my opinion tho :)

4:27 The Alesis manual says you're supposed to remove the felt washer under the hh control module: _"The hi-hat control module will go on first. But before placing the hi-hat control module on your hi-hat stand, look for and remove any felt washers that would sit directly beneath the control module on the cymbal seat (i.e. where a real bottom hi-hat cymbal would normally be resting)."_

I have owned the strike pro for about a month and a half, and was excited as anyone would be to start playing. Within just the first week, the ride cymbal triggers were not functioning properly. I was only getting the bow and edge. Replaced the cymbal and it worked fine for a few days and then tech support suggested that the brand new cable was bad. I was sent a complete new cable set up. So far so good. NOW.....one of my crash cymbals are malfunctioning. Over all I have spent about 3500.00 bucks on the kit when I added 2 new 2000 watt Bluetooth power monitors. Compared to my old Roland kit, the sound is good as well as the feel, but the versatility and reliability just is not there compared to Roland. Would be nice to have a product tested more intensely BEFORE it is sent out to the public for sale. All in all, it is a good kit. The module allows for distinct sound modifications with lots of parameters. I actually was able to integrate cymbals from my Roland kit to the Alesis kit with little to no trouble.

I have Alesis and i´ve learned to like them...but it took a lot of work and stress. Let´s face it...Alesis modules are very tricky to configure...I think they should send in the manual a standard general config of the many variables, so then each drummer goes his own personal way...thank´s

I just got my brand new strike pro SE kit on Friday and I haven’t been able to play cause the edge and bow triggers of the symbols won’t trigger correctly or one will hit instead of the other so setting a custom kit is literally impossible and I’ve noticed when hitting the symbol closest to the floor Tom next to the ride symbol my module will show the ride is also being triggered. I have version 1.5 is that the most up to date version?

Now my problem is, for an example purposes, 70bpm, a kick on 3 and 3e. The 3 registers but the 3e does not. 16 note kicks.As soon as I lower the re-trigger setting below 62 the multiple triggers return. I tried turning up the sensitivity as well, but that did not help.Also my OS version on the Module is: Trigger OS v1.50 and DSP OS v1.50Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1) If I wanted to add 2 more cymbals, lets say a 2-zone and 3-zone (in addition to the 2-zone and 3-zone included) can I use the unused 4th tom input to the connect to the bell input of the additional 3-zone cymbal and program it to have a cymbal bell? In general, can that 4th tom input (or any tom input) be used to add a cymbal instead of a tom? 2) Is the newer hihat configuration with only the top cymbal compatible with older models?

The power supply went bad. After Alesis sent me a new power supply, I've had this issue: The overall volume of the module is now so low, I have to turn up everything to 99, and faders to 100. Even at that, there's a lot of whirring noise on top of the sound. This is not good.

i played this kit today, it has some limitations. it seems the cymbals and HiHat wont have a trigger for the Bell. does any one know how to make it works ? is it just a configuration ? or it just wont work ?
@joerybczyk29603 жыл бұрын
From what I gather only the ride has the bell capabilities.
@nimrodsasson11233 жыл бұрын
@@joerybczyk2960in roland that depand on your configuration. each stereo cable has two different modes. so it depand on the pad capabilities. for example in my roland drum pads pdx100 i can configure each head or rim sounds (tom sound and rim sound as cymbal). also in roland cymbals such as cy13r and cy12c i have head and rim sounds so each cymbal can be played as two different cymbals. in the hihat its only open/close sounds but also here i can configure open sound as one set and closed sound as other set. so i chose roland after all.
