Great tutorial... maybe its been mentioned in the past but worth repeating... once you Save a Loop to a pad, make sure you Save (re-save) the Kit, other wise you have to re-assign the loop to the pad if you power the module off and then back on as it doesn't automatically save any work you've done on a pad. I know I sound lame as I'm just learning.

Hello, I am French and beginner (I take classes), I do not speak and do not read English. I bought a Strike Pro and today, there is unfortunately no manual in French for the module. I would like to register on the SD card when I play a song and I can not find how to do it. I watch your videos and apparently, you perfectly master the module of the strike. Could you please indicate to me the path to achieve this? The shop where I bought the Strike, is unable to inform me. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Why would -9dB be a good recording level? Back in the cassette recording days, I always recorded at -3dB. Thanks for your time!

you can just import the wav file (16-bit at 44.1khz) into the loops folder on the sd card. you'll get closer to the original sound quality at the right volume that way lol

so its best to record the track to the module first? Compared to AUX and internal at the same time?

I just bought this kit. I want to mount the hi hat on the rack and use the Alesis RealHat pedal. Anyone know a good rack mount stand/arm to where I can still use the upper hardware that came with the kit (because of the lock nut)?

How much for just the module? I have a DM10X kit that I can add module too.
@AtTheSourceStudios7 жыл бұрын
adrian97c just saw your comment man. DrumTec and Thomann sell the module and strike pads/cymbals separately, although they are overseas if you are in America. Price for module is about $1024 if I remember correctly.

Speaking as someone who has done that exact same thing, I would like to advise against it. Your DM 10 Hardware will not last forever, and when things start breaking you are going to start wanting to replace pads with the new ones from this set. I started doing that. In the long run it is going to cost me way more if I had just bought the entire kit. Keep playing your DM 10 and save money. Buy the complete kit.

I see now that this comment was from three years ago. You probably already have the kit by now.

Why you guys haven't done a video with this drum set in vst? Is it possible and user a friendly setup with your daw? And do a video with the autoload feature where as if you buy 3rd party samples kits and it automatically load to the drumset I think thats a major selling point if thats possible and ease of use cause honestly I've been waiting to buy for 2yrs now but I'm not really sold on everything this thing can do...and the guy with beard is a horrible salesman to pitch this product on the strength that he sounds like a guy just brought machine and trying to explain it to the world....definitely love the company for a long time but im really annoyed that theres so many half explain videos out on this beautiful set!!!

BabyMoney216 there's many videos how to set up and use drum modules with vsts. He literally loaded a vst drumkit into the strike in this video and showed how so I don't know what you're talking about. I do agree about that old dude lol seriously bad salesman and almost as bad of player. If this guy in this video did the sales videos they would do a lot better imo.

Honestly the onboard kits are so good I haven't felt the need to import third party samples. Just gotta find the right sounds you want. There are many to choose from.

SiREN2173 thanks 4 reply....man I been wanting this set 4 a minute just waiting on that one video to confirm if i should buy 4real seen alot of not so good videos trying to explain the features....i seen 1 review where guy says sounds module not good so i was figuring is it capable of syncing with vst est....and with sample feature can you load your own kit straight from pc?
@AtTheSourceStudios7 жыл бұрын
BabyMoney216 you can load any samples you want as long as its within the 200mb limit. IMO what I would recommend if you are unable to find a sound you are happy with within the strike module, try to mix and match some on board strike samples (cymbals, kick, anything) with whatever you're importing to help save memory. Only because anything from a vst will have a ton of samples per instrument which will take up more space so if you are really loving like say a favorite crash and a snare or your favorite toms just import those. I'm not sure how much they take up though since I haven't done it yet but I'm sure you can probably fit most of a kit from a vst in there. For real though there are great sounding kits in the strike now. Especially after the two new ones they added from the v1.3 update. I would happily recommend this kit to anyone looking for great sounds and pads at an affordable price. That said, the module could be a little more user friendly (it's not user friendly AT ALL lol) for someone that is new to E-drums, which a lot of the buyers are, it can prove a difficult task. That is where people like me come in that like helping and there is also a facebook group for other strike owners to help also. The new v1.3 update has helped a lot as to getting the pads set up and playable though. Minimal tweaking is only need to fit your playing style.

This is a ridiculous video....I just bought a new set of Alesis Strike and watching this video is ridiculous, not everyone...especially me, has a computer science degree to be able to do the complicated things on these drums. This is 2019 and you should be able to have an easier way of programming these drums other than a half ass complicated method...the average joe will not be able to do all these things...I would NOT recommend buying Alesis drums...
@bobbypena78285 жыл бұрын
@@retlaw571 This is a flagship kit that requires an experienced edrummer to utilize. This is not a kit for the average Joe. Those of us on the higher higher end of the edrum spectrum want and use these features all time and find it pretty simple. This is a racecar that requires an experienced driver. If you want a daily driver Honda Accord go buy a TD17..... you be safer there.
