Those alisis symbols ARE repairable' you peel the rubber off and make sure the sensor contacts of the edge & bell and Piezo are working correctly if they are then you must shim up the rubber pad using duct tape between plate disk and pad then put the pad back on. Overtime the rubber pad stretches and puts pressure on the sensors and causes it to nullify striking input, essentially muting the input anyway hope that helps some of you out there don't be afraid to take it apart it's super simple and it sticks itself back together.. .

I bought one of these kits a month or so ago, with the old bass drum style. I have the issue with the ride and the kick does eat hits the faster I go. I may swap out the kick for a Roland but will look at taking the ride apart and possibly re-saudering the wire to see if that helps. Got an Alesis strike 12 and a powered 18” sub to boot so we’ll see how those sound tomorrow when I get everything hooked up.

The reason why you're only getting the bow sound when hitting the edge is because your bow threshold is set way to low. You can also adjust cross talk setting to help with this issue.

I enjoy playing my set, but because of the same issues I would not play in any kind of public performance. Matter of fact, after about 10 months the bass output died. It took me four months to get Alesis to replace it, and then that one wouldn't power up. Yeah, no shit, I bought a second power cord in case, but it was the sound module AGAIN. After another couple months of effort they finally sent me a third unit and so far it's still performing correctly. But you bet, being on my third unit does not leave me with extreme confidence in the future.

I've had my kit for over a year now and can definitely confirm that the cymbals are absolute junk. I have replaced all but one cymbal with Roland or ATV brand which work much, much better. Especially the hihat - that thing is virtually impossible to to get dialed in perfect unless you swap it out with a higher quality cymbal. The drums though are all still holding up and I've had zero issues with them. Still love the kit overall despite the cymbals being junk.

From my experience at different churches with different sets I’ve noticed cymbals tend to have the most issues with broken triggers/only having one trigger instead of two work. I don’t trust most ride cymbals to have a reliable bell trigger but maybe that’s just me not knowing the trigger location well enough. With an old roland td20 I played on it had a broken tom trigger (practically useless tom) and it seemed like the ride edge was broken/hard to trigger. The strike pro se at my church has essentially the exact same problems as this guy’s set. The kick dropping hits and the cymbals basically being better off as single zone instead of dual zone triggers.

I've been using the 10" Alesis cymbals for a looooong time on my Roland TD11KV, and now on my Alesis Nitro Max with no problems, some of them are about 6 yo already, with no probs. But this is no good, it thought that by now Alesis would have sorted stuff like this out! There's a reason Roland is more expensive - albeit waaaaay more expensive. The thing with Roland is so many of their toms sound like acoustic toms with tons of ring and overtones and not enough dry kits. 😰

So, these Alesis pads have a major design flaw, where the contact ribbons are bellow the rubber where the drummer usually hits. Eventually you will have the same issue with the bell switch in the ride. Considering the money you invest on the kit, it is an absolute shame that Alesis ships a product like this, and this kit is supposed to be a revision of the original Strike kit! I dropped Alesis when they denied me support on my Alesis Dm10 that had an issue that came from factory. Currently my cymbals are Lemon, and they are sturdy and trigger really well. My hi-hat is a Roland VH-13. Alesis nevermore!
