You know you have a powerful gift when a person gives you chill bumps and this amazing opera singer gives chills on top of chills. She is gorgeous and magnificent and every other beautiful word in the dictionary. Just incredible!

I heard her around 25 times on stage and it was a captivating sound and persona on stage. I couldn't believe it when I first heard it, I never imagined a human sound could be like it. There are many commercial recordings but most were of limited release

Stood next to he next in a former colleagues living room while she sang "Pace mio Dio." Afterwards I was amazed at the richness of her voice and told her that she reminded me of Rosa Ponselle to which she responded, Yes, I've heard that before... "

She hasn't gone anywhere. This is what I dug up. "In the 2008-2009 season, Marc is scheduled to appear with the National Gallery Orchestra and the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra. She will also perform the title role in Puccini's Turandot at the Festival Puccini."

Most beautiful voice I ever heard live. Still performs. She sounded ravishing in the Carnegie Hall concert on KZbin recently. Her bottom voice got better as she aged. Her size really hurt her career. About the best Verdi or Strauss voice of my generation. Sounded somewhat similar to Price at times but her top was much more of a dramatic soprano than LP.

listen to the Forza excerpts and compare her to Sweet in the same role. No excuses for either of them, but I have heard Sweet sing poorly as in Forza, but Marc sang Forza superbly. Sweet might have been going through a bad patch -- all of them went through a bad patch at one time or other... What do you hear about Sweet?
