@@davidschmidt1793 90's? Nesta was the best defender from 2000-2007 primarily too. Nesta's defensive prime was just as good as all of those guys you mentioned. At no point was Maldini better than Sandro when they played together in the same team.

@@ciaronsmith4995 nesta was amazing in the 2000s aswell dont get me wrong,but in the 90s he was amazing for lazio.the entire italian league was elite with crazy defenders. cannavaro and thuram for parma were incredible,vierchowood for piacenza and many others.golden age of football if you ask me.to compare primes is difficult,mainly for defenders,i personally preffered those i said,but nesta isnt behind them.

I'm a amateur deffender in Brazil, and I played in Chile too. Chilenians absorve morr impact without complain, brazilians not, they cry for everything. How do you think Neymar invented the cai cai style? With refrees that mark fauls to everything. So brazilians cannot develop a defensive football so good, because here, if you just touch the deffender you receive a yellow card. Tackles? Slides? All are not cool, you are a butcher if you do them, even if you for the ball...

@Angelo Vitiello su nesta come miglior centrale della sua epoca sn daccordo... anche se come marcatore puro fabio cannavaro era leggermente piu forte infatti si completavano a vicenda in nazionale come a euro 2000 lasciando perdere come è finita ma abbiamo fatto un grande europeo...pero se devo farti un nome solo ti dico nesta sicuramente anche piu di thuram altro centrale fortissimo che pero in carriera ha fatto piu il terzino come il caso di maldini...su baresi irraggiungibile come grandezza mi sembra un filino esagerato...è stato un libero grandissimo ma guarda che anche se ho solo 31 anni mi sn rivisto un po di partite e scirea e beckembauer non erano da meno in quel ruolo credimi senza nulla togliere alla sua grandezza...e poi per mia idea personale credo che non ci sia mai nessuno irraggiungibile neanche pele o michael jordan prima o poi arriva sempre quello che arriva al tuo livello anche se passano 50 o 100 anni...in tutti gli sport calcio compreso poi ognuno ha la sua opinione e io la rispetto

@Angelo Vitiello bravo sei intelligente finalmente qualcuno con la quale si puo ragionare...comunque su euro 2000 hai ragione nesta impostava e faceva i recuperi in scivolata e cannavaro gli guardava le spalle veramente un mastino...una difesa fantastica peccato per quel goal maledetto di wiltord... Ma sai a quei livelli una disattenzione costa carissima noi interisti lo sappiamo bene il 5 maggio gresko con 2 errori ci ha rovinato la festa...per fortuna poi ci siamo rifatti

@Angelo Vitielloscusa non voglio fare il sapientone ma forse ti sbagli su thuram terzino mi sa che gia a parma ogni tanto giocava li e anche a francia 98 campione del mondo con 2 goal in semifinale...bonucci un po sopravvalutato sn daccordo ramos piu forte anche se ogni tanto si perde ma una spanna sopra nell impostazione..poi pero quando trovano re messi devono inchinarsi tutti sai..cmq bravo e elegante anche hummels come centrale..degli attacanti che hai detto trezeguet era il piu falco in area e poi cerano salas e crespo o sheva ma lui era gia diverso partiva da lontano...
