Odd thing is that it doesn't make them mature, like let's say when a baby is affected by the gratefull dead's gas, it's just an old baby, not a man. So it doesn't exactly counteract Alessi, it just makes it more disturbing.

The biggest threat Alessi could have fought against is Joseph. He unlike the rest is not defenseless. During those 3 seconds Alessi basicly fights against Part 2 Joseph without him using Hamon. And he by all means is not a pushover.
