Liked and subscribed I can’t remember when I had more fun watching a game of chess. Congratulations! My best chest moment came in a five minute game when I beat a 2500 (my reading is about 1600) that was many years ago, but I still look back on it with fondness.

No, sure he was! Old generation are good in classical games, not so much in blitz! His rating in blitz is not like a GM or IM these days. When he saw was too late, so Alessia saw right after.

@@Snowzz_Apex his mental faculties are still there; it’s not like he has dementia. Even his reaction time is sharp. Notice how he blitzed through his opening and it was catching her, who is at least 50 years younger than him, off guard? Do you really think he blundered his queen or do you think he wanted to give her a confidence boost by allowing her to win? Juan Bellón is still a very highly respected chess player. He might not be a “Super GM” but he’d give the best in the world today a hard run for their money if he played against them. They call him “the Spanish Tal” for a reason.

Playing with an eval bar is so forgiving. Without it probably wouldn't have seen the set up for a double rook sacrifice after Qf5. Knowing that a position is a "puzzle" is a hint by itself. This was good chess and good banter between 3 charming chess players.

I know neither of these are world championship level players but it;s stuff like this that makes women and men seperate chess events a bit of a nonsense . There some very good players that are female they just need to be given a shot to compete against other strong GM's .People like Judith Polgar will never improve because all she can play against in major competiions is other women that she's already better than so can never learn anything . How is women's chess mean't to grow and get more recognition if all we show is Gukesh , Ding and any event Magnus decides he wants to play in? For me any woman can beat any man and I hope somewhere down the line the women's World championship will get the same level of coverage as that of the men's tournaments or better still allow women to try to compete in the mens tournaments and see what happens. They can't bridge any gap there is if they aint given a chance.

@@chiryalways3546 yes. I’d say he’s IM strength now but of course he’s earned the title. I use to play with an IM but as he aged his level significantly dropped. We got paired in a tournament when he was 80 years old and I beat him. He made a simple blunder and that was it.
