Alestorm is the most genius band in this modern era of music. They don't take anything seriously, at all. They just fuck around and do their thing, and still manage to make extremely good songs while doing it. Music doesn't have to be serious with flexy lyrics and brutal vocals. Just bullshitting around in a studio can make some of the most beautiful songs known to mankind.

i've seen alot of live shows, and movies of live shows, and i agree, this has to be one of the best audio mixes i've ever heard, mountains of bass, but it's not destroying my PA speakers ,none of that horrible compressed, high mid crap sound, and everything else clearly heard also, that's the thing i hate about live recordings, this one killed all that negative, i can't comment on the video so much as i'm watching through a 15 year old 40" flat screen tv, so everything looks like shite

It really wasn't obvious in 2007 that a 'True Scottish Pirate Metal' band would work at all, never mind become a huge success. So congrats to Mr Bowes for the idea, perfectly judged lack of seriousness, sweariness, and for some top quality songwriting, and to the whole band for very tight execution. This concert is sublime. I'm a bit old (and short!) for going to gigs, but Alestorm really do make you want to be there for the party.

I'm hoping that they schedule a UK gig later in the year to make up for it. I was about to buy a ticket for Download, with Alestorm being 1 of the 2 or 3 bands that I was interested in seeing. I still havent seen them live yet - this is a little bit of a taste but not enough.

Holy Yarrr! Have you ever seen Blind Guardian playing The Bard's Song or Mirror Mirror live, where the crowd sings all of those lyrics for them? This show is well on par with them. Awesome times!

Alestorm . what an AWESOME show . to bad i had to miss it due to a wedding i had to go to. Great set list but i'm a little disapointed that you didn't play I'm a Cider Drinker. That song would probably went down super well because the original of I Am A Cider Drinker is actually Una Palmoma Blanca by the George Baker Selection which was a Dutch band!!!!!!!
