As a disabled veteran, I sometimes look at the craziness on the news and see the political gridlock we share and I would look at myself in the mirror and say, "Was it all worth it?" For a long many days the answer was simply, "no." Sometimes I think we all need to know what it is we fight and die for lest the sacrifice be for naught... and I am very proud to say that Mr. Boye is the best, most pristine example of a damn good reason. You, and many people like you come here with hopes and dreams... and that is what I take from this. People like me, we did our part so wonderful people like yourself can have tomorrows and next years to be the glorious Americans that you are. You are my hero and I'm a fan for life. Be well.

To see, to feel, to hear the sheer joy to become an American citizen it makes me wonder, who are we, those privileged to have been born American to judge them that dream for our reality while we squander the gift given to us by our ancestors long past? Who are we to sit behind closed doors and pretend not to see the devastation around us and not lift a finger. We should stand up for our beliefs and our country even if we're only the people without political or physical clout we still have a voice.

Beverly Qualheim You said I believe America has everything to offer like what ? Guns ,violence and killings of innocent people everywhere in schools , movie theatre,churches etc etc America is the most violent western country ........countries like Norway and Australia are better than America
@crochetmom59 жыл бұрын
JOHN KAY If you wish to believe that guns and violence etc is all that America is about, you have the right to believe that. I am sorry that the good that is much more prevalent than gunfire, good people serving others every single day, at home, at school, at work, in their neighborhoods, is not reported on the worldwide news. Good is not sensationalist enough to be broadcast. There are good people all across this land, quietly going about making the world around them, a better place, bringing comfort to those in need. It is not a perfect country, but it is a land that has been blessed by the hand of God. I can see that you and I don't see America in the same way, and that's ok. We will need to agree to disagree. Have a lovely day today. Be positive, and do all the good you can. God bless you and yours.
