how can people say this video is awful?? doesn't anybody pick up the symbolism in it?? the water isn't just a random effect, he's downing in tears because of how he cant bring himself to trusting another woman, no matter how good she is, im sorry girl, its not you its her, is him trying to explain that its not on her, and if you pay close attention the water begins around the first time he mentions that, it was hard admitting it, him stepping out of the car at the end is him moving on, letting go of his sorrow and beginning to accept his depression because of the woman that so much hurt him.... incredible song and powerful video.

I just saw them in Concert in Salt Lake City at the Depot, WOW what an amazing concert! Truly a talented group, the tickets sold for $5 and it was well worth the performance, the Bass guitar brought the BASS!

Actually it is because he is singing over these type of beats that is making him stand out. He is bringing soul to this music. If he was just sitting with a guitar he would just be another singer/songwriter. He does have acoustic versions of most of his songs but they would not be very popular if they were the first versions he brought out.
