He brought in his players like Antony, Malacia, Onana etc so he can’t complain about not being given chance to buy players. The identity of the team and style of play on the pitch is the manager’s job, not board room staff’s. You can win or lose that’s fine, but you have to have an identity, a system. It is sad that Man Utd has fallen to such levels. If this happened at Real Madrid, Barcelona etc, he would have been long gone. This is not a government job where it doesn’t matter how you perform, you will be given all the time you like. He should have been sacked if Manu Utd wanted success. But they want continuity of mediocrity.
