For those asking previously, 30 grams of a combination of spent grounds from light, medium, and dark roast were collected. 200 ml of IPA was used and distilled over the grounds at 175 C for four hours. IPA was separated and recovered (probably by distillation) and fatty acid profile was analyzed by titration.

Hello Alex: Do you think it is feasible to use grain alcohol or vodka to extract flavor from the grounds of spent coffee pods (similar to the way vanilla flavor is extracted from beans)?
