that's a cool idea although I'm not sure that amount of space is required for a paint room, he could do a lot more with the space if he wanted to in my opinion.

I considered it, but I think in the long run those two rooms are better off joined into one as a collaborative space. I think in the future if I upgrade again to a yet larger building, I would possibly start adding these dedicated spaces though.

Also, get a security system. Lots of peg boards and heavy duty shelves are required as well. Bin system for fittings and o rings. Maybe a vertical or horizontal staging rack for large slabs of wood if you wanna get into making live slabs for fun.

Looks awesome - Just be aware that from experience it can get VERY hot and sticky up on a mez in a UK warehouse with no airflow. Green house comes to mind.

Great space but let me give you 1 advice: Use the upstairs as storage ore something like that.......NOT to sit down or use as office. Reason is in Summer it gets VERY HOT right under the roof......to hot to work in. In summer you got the sun warming up the roof and you have the warm air inside the building witch is rising. I learned from that mistake :P

The. Was space looks great, and I can see you’re excited about all the potential. One thing I’d investigate is getting more light in to the front, especially on that upper floor. Could you make some more windows without too much structural effort? That, and/or skylights.

Congratulations on new space! You were really just turning on your heel around near the house. My first thought - it's going to be super loud on the upper level, and then it's going to be super toasty up there in the summer. I fear, that "background" machines, like compressor, shopvac, etc., you'll probably need to encase in their own sound proofed cabinets or closets to make it bearable.

Yup, the acoustics are very much something I’m looking into. The office area will be enclosed, so will be easy to keep cool with AC thankfully, likewise that will keep the noise to a minimum in that zone. Elsewhere, I’m planning to install noise dampeners etc to help prevent crazy reverb from making the place a nightmare. It’ll be a looong project, but by the end it should be awesome!
