@AyshaRehmen Жыл бұрын
@@mikekoz68 that’s not the case, it’s not that he doesn’t have fear, the film explains that after years of practice his amygdala has been desensitized to fears like heights, and requires a higher level of stimulation than the average person to be activated. He has a fear of falling just like anyone, but the film shows he approaches the climb in a precise, practiced, intentional way with lots of visualization and reputation.

Actually, none of them come even close. The closest will be in the MMA world but even then, yeah, not really. What he is doing is far and beyond the mere athletics of its technicality. What disturbs me a bit, is that Alex isn't really honest about himself and explain it more that he doesn't feel fear the same way like average person. His behaviour doesn't change if he goes high elevation like most people would be terryfying and have symptoms of fear and lead to a disaster. In his mind he is still in low non lethal altitude. Surely he knows what happens if he fails but explaining this would be very useful.
