I'm not exaggerating when I say this, this not an impulsive reaction cause I've had 2 years to think about it, but The End of the F***ing World might quiet possibly be the greatest Y/A show of all time. It is amazing well-written, the romance isn't sappy or forced, it is witty without being obnoxious, it is dark without being overbearingly cynical, and it has the exact dosage of gallows humor without turning into camp. My only pet peeve is they should've had the courage to get rid of James for good, but it's a Y/A show after all, you can't have everything, they need something for the shippers. The producers probably pressured them too to keep the character. I wasn't at all surprised that this was a British show.
