Hi Alex! I’ve been playing a Fender Dual Professional with E-13 and A-6 tunings for many years. Watching you, I have learned some things. Thank you! Keep the steel content coming ❤

Thanks for talking about E13 tuning. On my 6 string lap, I’ve tried C6 for western swing and am now doing a variation of E9 tuning to get a more Nashville sound doing finger pull note bends. I’m now considering E13 for the swing sound!
@AlexMillerCountry5 ай бұрын
It’s my favorite steel tuning! Just so different and opens your mind up to musical possibilities that you can’t find on a C6th neck

Enjoyed the video ! My wife has an old lap steel just like yours her Dad played with his Brothers when they'd get together , sweet sounds man !

That’s is so cool! Is it a fender as well?
@miker904310 ай бұрын
My wifes Dad made it from a kit in the early 90s . it looks pretty cool but theirs no brand markings , it has 3 sets of 6 strings each . Definitly has more sentimental value than any money value . thanks for the reply and i look forward to watching more videos ! @@AlexMillerCountry

Hi Alex. Pedal steel usa essa afinação também? Sou do BRASIL e fiz uma lapsteel artesanal.
@AlexMillerCountry7 ай бұрын
I’ve never seen it used on a pedal steel guitar, mostly used for Lap Steel

I’m a total noob, but I thought McAuliffe’s E13 was EBDF#G#BC#E is it EC#BG#EF#AbE that you’re doing? I’m so sorry hahaha ive watched the tuning section 10,000 times and im still struggling 😆 Leon’s E13, Bogg’s E13, Helms E6, I haven’t even ATTEMPTED E9. These cheese slicers are sure harder than them boat oars I’m used to!

😂😂😂 yeah completely different. The tuning is use is E C# B G# F# D G# E at least for 8 string
