Before getting sentenced for the financial crimes he committed, convicted family killer Alex Murdaugh spoke to his victims, family, and the judge. Murdaugh profusely apologized for his actions and spoke specifically to each victim who was sitting in the courtroom waiting for him to be sentenced. Originally charged with 101 financial crimes, Murdaugh took a plea agreement dropping the charge count to 22 crimes. It's believed Murdaugh stole more than $8 million from his clients, many of whom are disabled or lost their loved ones.

Smalltown court hearing gone viral/national. A previously very established member of community/society, not a hooligan street criminal with little or no proper education. People want answers, or maybe to try to understand, how an established educated family man went to ruins, found himself in such a mess, his testimony to have it on the record. It seems.

Unfortunately, there are many humans out there that will reach out to him after this tearful performance. He has been given this time to suck in a certain group that will help his life in prison. Our system lacks is so many ways! It’s an injustice to the families and all of us!

All I heard was a lot of convincing and qualifying statements, and a TON of emotional manipulation. He even invited each one of them to visit him personally, so he could talk with them one-on-one. That’s exactly how a master manipulator operates. He knows that getting people one-on-one is the most effective way to manipulate them into believing him. It’s also because he has a NEED to read their reactions, body language and facial expressions to gauge whether they’re falling for it or not.

I actually had to turn him off after a few minutes. There was not a word that wasn't self serving. He doesn't feel remorse for what he did over and over and over again. So glad that Judge Newman let everyone speak, including the attorneys of the mass of victims.
