Mine too!!! Imagine how I felt when I looked at the bracket & saw that not only would I be playing Alex 'The Lion' Pagulayan but I'd also be playing on the stream table my first time at the US Open!!! 😲 😅

Great attitude from reginald. Respect for both players.

I loved playing against Alex. It was an awesome experience. I won my entry into the US Open through a qualifier so it was my first experience at the open. I was just enjoying the moment😉😁

I saw Alex playing today from a distance, but I play at Oscar Dominguez's poo hall, so I watched his match. Around 10PM I seen Alex playing in the poker room, the other people at the table didn't seem like pool players. I walked around some more and seen FSRnat a craps table. He didn't seem to know the rules, though. He was with David Alcaide and SVB. David didn't really seem to be playing, but SVB was really throwing them dice 😂

Reggie has talent if he didn’t he wouldn’t be there. You could tell he was nervous judging by the lag.

You already know!!! Imagine coming to the US Open for the first time, looking at the bracket & knowing that you have to play The Lion😵💫 When I saw the T1 next to my name I didn't know what it meant. I found out that it meant I was playing on the stream table. I'm like WHAT!! So here we go. One practice rack & I have to grind it out with Alex Pagulayan!! WTF!!

@@k9thepoolplayer Good for you. Your game will increase. With the scenario you describe sounds like you may have the making for success. ThInk, streaming table, against Alex inhindsight you could not have asked for better in terms of your development, composure ..etc

Hey I know what it’s like. I played on the “TV table” once at the Open in 07 or 08 (forgot already). The lights made the table play super fast and my palms were sweaty (don’t like gloves). However watching from the sidelines now, it looks like the table you guys played on was playing slower. It’s easy to commentate from the booth! GG…next time
@k9thepoolplayer3 ай бұрын
@trevorbraymore6137 Definitely a person who gets it! Until you're there in front of those lights & cameras you don't understand the real pressure placed on you.. I'm just glad I was able to compose myself enough to play how I did.. Thanks for the comment. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

@@aakhtab8403 I talked to a pro that's going to help me with my pokey stroke 😂 I've never had lessons & he let me know that he had the same problem. It's fixable & I'm all about getting better. Thanks for the comment 👍🏿

reggie got that punchy stroke workin for him though
@k9thepoolplayer3 ай бұрын
It's funny though. I've had that punchy stroke for a while but I know I have to work on it.. I love the game & I can play at a higher level.. I will be spending a lot of time working on that stroke this year. It works until it doesn't 🤣

He has a quick back stoke butt it works for him

Reggie has a keen eye, but his timing is terrible. he won't ever win anything until he can establish a pause on backstroke, or at least a slower one. Not that punchy BS. It's hard to watch
@yrelkin3 ай бұрын
Agreed. As good as his pocketing ability is, i like to see a stroke, not a poke.
@k9thepoolplayer3 ай бұрын
I totally agree fellas. I'll be putting in a lot of work in order to get that pokey stroke under control😂 I've never had lessons or anyone to teach me but I've been able to reach a 656 fargo.. I will work harder on my game.. I love the grind.

@@k9thepoolplayerYou’re a great player!! Just fixing up that timing and back stroke. Having a smoother back swing will definitely improve your game tremendously! Try bringing your cue as far back as you can and following all the way through!

@c4rlos40 Thank you for your comment. I'll be working hard on it. Actually got with a pro at the US Open who played in the Mosconi Cup. He's going to help me with my timing & stroke..

Are these pockets 4"? They look ridiculously small.
@RichardsWorld3 ай бұрын
Matchroom has been using 4 inch pockets for quite awhile now. The only good thing is they have new cloth that helps a little bit.
@egroegartfart3 ай бұрын
@RichardsWorld I don't really have a problem with them making them 4" for the pros but I still think it should be 4.5" for the pros. If they would alternate breaks. Make the tournaments mostly 10 ball instead of 9 ball. They said they kept reducing the pocket sizes because the pros just break and run over and over. Alternating breaks takes care of that and ten ball makes it harder because they aren't pocketing the one ball all the time on the break. But what I really have a problem with is like my local pool hall has now made their tables 4". That place was packed every night of thd week. During the day they kept pretty busy too. But now it looks like a ghost town. And it's because of the pockets. The people I've talked to that are just weekend players or once a week or once every two week players say it just isn't fun. They can hardly make a ball. So they just aren't playing. So at least at my pool hall it's driven the average to below average players away. And those players are most of their business. I can playcwith 4" pockets but the game definitely isn't as enjoyable. I would rather have 4.5" pockets and just play games like ten ball with more balls on the table if they want to cut down on the break and runs. Or heck add a new game. All 15 balls and you play it like 9 ball. I guarantee they aren't going to run half as many tables as they do now. Would probably have to make the races shorter because each match will take longer to play but so what? Keep the game fun for everyone. Just my opinion though.
