One of the best walkouts I’ve seen. He was so stoic yet intense. He wasn’t trying to let the music hype him up or anything. It’s like he was legitimately an Amazonian warrior heading to war.

Actually, Alex is known as a Pataxó warrior. This tribe is located at Bahia, northeast of Brazil. Amazonian warriors are from the north of Brazil! Beautiful culture from our native people

I was at this fight with my wife and let me tell you, this is probably the most intense walkout i seen. This guy is different from most fighters. He's pretty deep, dark and intense. What a main card too. But this walkout gave me the chills.

This is simply the best entrance song to a fighter. It suits Poatan perfectly, especially with the war painting at the faceoffs and the tribal marching at the entrance for the championship fight. I often wonder which song I would walkout to at a fight - even though i'm not a fighter - but it would probably be a Sepultura or Pantera song.

He found out that both his parents had Indian blood , they didn’t live in a tribe thou. since he found out about that he started to dig more into the culture and embraced it. It’s not a character since he is like this since the begging, withou the spotlights . He is a modern day warrior and the scariest fighter alive.
