Allah سبحانه وتعالى said, (Interpretation of the meaning) And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islamic Monotheism and the Last Day) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever. [Al-Baqarah 2:217] They will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their chests (hearts) conceal is far worse. We have indeed made the Ayat (Signs) manifest clear to you if you understand. [Ãal-'Imraan 3:118]

You do realise that it was the Sikh regiments of General Subheg Singh who carved out Bangladesh in 1971 and saved Bengali’s from being burnt and graped in masses. And you have a nerve to agree with her when she says “Sikh terrorism”, when deep down you know Panjab belongs to the Sikhs and is the Sikh holy land. Sikhs never agreed to a destruction of Panjab in 1947. You are clearly uneducated.

Nobody would have any issues with a billion muslims arriving here tomorrow if they were all like this lovely man.... he's an absolute credit to the muslim community and his faith.... No issues whatsoever with this gentleman's approach to islam.... It's such a shame for all of us that a fraction of scumbags who identify as Muslim are destroying the reputation of the entire muslim community.... Can't believe we're all still squabbling over our personal connection with God as we understand him from our own prospectives.... Religion is supposed to bring us peace, connection, love, decency, honesty, empathy, concern for others.... Nobody's personal perception of a loving God would ever condone the horrors that humans are doing to one another here on earth..... It's insane... We all just wanna be reasonably happy, take care of our families and be able to afford to survive as comfortably as we can manage.... Yet the behaviours of a minority from each religion are making all of our lives a misery.... Different religions have been killing one another for centuries and nobody has ever won ever in centuries of fighting.... It does not work... it's a terrible idea... nobody wins... everyone loses and the traumas, hatred and resentments are just passed down from generation to generation to continue the insanity..... Arguing, hating , squabbling, fighting and killing has never ever resolved anything ever.... centuries of evidence to profit does not work... nor will it ever... Hating others just chews you up inside, its uncomfortable, unpleasant and destroys your own happiness.... You can be sat there chewed up inside hating someone who has no idea you even hate them.... they are whistling happy and content whilst hatred is swallowing the other person from the inside out.... It makes no sense....

As a Christian in a post-Christian Britain, I hate how British Muslims get targeted, especially when they stand up for values we've abandoned like modesty. I am of the opinion there was a significant misstep among the British elite political class regarding liberal secularism and the decision to embrace "diversity" starting with Tony Blair. In many ways, its like the legacy of colonialism has come full circle having exhausted territories to colonise, we've turned the eye of Sauron inward to colonise ourselves. Everyone is replaceable. Everything is power. Muslims are the go-to scapegoat here. Islam gets blamed for our issues instead of culprits like Blair and we're so busy defending our culture, even its worst bits, that we can't see the good in yours that might make us better. It's totally maddening! I wonder if 2nd and 3rd gen Brits will eventually feel the pull to their ancestral roots or move to places like the UAE, especially if England keeps sliding downhill with not much to offer. Please know that I do not believe England will become a Muslim country, but I do feel there is much we can appreciate and learn from one another and the story that's unfolded between us. I hold no grudges against British Muslims and genuinely wish you all well. Curious times, indeed! I appreciate this interview.

6:21 South Asians came to the UK after World War II, particularly in the 1950s and 1960s, to fill labor shortages caused by the war's destruction and the loss of workers. The UK needed people to rebuild the economy, staff essential services, and work in industries like textiles, transportation, and healthcare. Many South Asians came from former British colonies, drawn by historical ties and the promise of better opportunities.

I’m not sure if I’m the only one who feels this way but cant it be as easy as when in Rome do as the Romans? I as a American no matter the religion, would think that you should do the research before you went somewhere to make sure you knew the laws and regulations and cultures and beliefs so that you wouldn’t be blind! I a female from Kansas would never goto the Middle East thinking I could be full blown American! The way we think the way we dress and the way of life just isn’t the same! So I would conform to their society if I wanted to live in the Middle East wherever it may be I would do all the research before I left to conform to their ways of living not the American way. Maybe it’s just me maybe it’s cause I grew up around so many different cultures and religions yet when it came down to it we all agreed on American culture just being normal to have differences in beliefs and culture but came together as Americans. Ugh so hard to explain. We were the same in more ways then we was different.

@@katelynurbanek2644those counties in the Middle East don't market themselves as places where people can express their culture and beliefs in perfect freedom. The United States does market itself this way. So it's not fair to restrict the culture and religious expression of people after inviting them here with the promise that they would have that freedom. If I want to live a Muslim lifestyle if I want to vote for people who are more likely to support my religious and social beliefs, I should have that right. The American Way does not tell you to conform to the White Christian majority. The American Way actually tells you that you should have the freedom to live your life however you want. If I wanted to wear a dress and dye my hair blue, you would celebrate this aspect of the American Way. Don't be a hypocrite now that people are taking this freedom in a direction you don't like.

Other account says its a hindu from india. Es liyea kuch bolnay sai oheley research ker lia ker. Yeh neechay parh lei gandi mori kai dhakan:- The origins of chicken tikka masala are debated, with multiple claims regarding its creation. One prominent account attributes the dish to Ali Ahmed Aslam, a British Pakistani chef and proprietor of the Shish Mahal restaurant in Glasgow, Scotland. According to this narrative, in the 1970s, a customer found the traditional chicken tikka too dry and requested a sauce. In response, Aslam improvised a gravy using spices and condensed tomato soup, creating what is now known as chicken tikka masala. However, this account is contested. Food historians Peter and Colleen Grove suggest that chicken tikka masala was likely invented in Britain by a Bangladeshi chef, noting that a similar recipe for “Shahi Chicken Masala” appeared in Mrs. Balbir Singh’s Indian Cookery published in 1961, predating Aslam’s claim. Further complicating the dish’s origin, some food critics, like Rahul Verma, assert that chicken tikka masala has roots in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent. In summary, while Ali Ahmed Aslam is often credited with creating chicken tikka masala in Glasgow during the 1970s, the true origins of the dish remain uncertain, with various claims pointing to different creators and regions.

Very mature, balanced discussion .well done Alex and Dilly. The first step is to identify the problem, acknowledge that is a issue and then deal with it in an open manner. The one thing that does not help is to a)justify obvious problems and b) point fingers. With all its faults, Britain still does more things right than many Muslim countries that treat fellow muslims unfairly and hence so many migrants. Revolutions are rampant in Libya,Syria,Tunisia,Egypt... etc. None of them relocate to affluent Arab countries. No question, integration and assimilation helps immigarnts more than the locals! We need more such discussions

Great podcast, so far I'm 30 mins in, just one point for my brother Dilly to ponder on, when Alex was making sweeping statements I think you need to interject and state you disagree with that point but ask her to continue and you'll respond after, especially when she makes back to back statements and you have just said uh huh, i know you disagree but it may come across as you accept her statement.

LGBT is certainly not foreign to Britain. Britain has always been early when it comes to adopting new and progressive values. It's deep in our ethnic spirit. This is why we have been able to go through huge societal changes without resorting to coups, military juntas, or civil wars. We are one of the most tolerant countries when it comes to letting people live how they want to live. Whether that is gays or Muslims. The more we strayed from Christianity, a middle Eastern religion, the more our genuine British spirit shined.

Muslims in the UK have largely integrated into society, making significant contributions in fields such as healthcare, education, business, and politics. Many British Muslims strongly identify with both their faith and their British identity, demonstrating that their communities are diverse and adaptable. However, far-right groups often claim that Muslims have failed to integrate, a narrative rooted in bias and misunderstanding. These claims are fueled by the visible expression of Islamic faith, such as wearing the hijab or observing halal practices, which some interpret as separation rather than cultural diversity. Far-right rhetoric also generalizes isolated incidents involving individuals to stereotype entire Muslim communities. Sensationalist media coverage further amplifies this misrepresentation, portraying Muslims as “the other” and fostering division. Additionally, some far-right ideologies reject multiculturalism outright, framing Islamic traditions as incompatible with "traditional" British culture. In reality, integration is a two-way process requiring mutual respect and effort. While Muslims have made significant strides, far-right groups exploit societal tensions and fear to push their anti-Muslim agenda, ignoring the clear contributions and successful integration of Muslims in the UK.
