Me too, such a great surprise

Alex definitely could do the long scream but he’s probably being humble for Chester

Probably not, Chester's scream was with a WAY different technique, which uses WAY more air than the technique Alex uses, so Alex probably couldn't do it with Chester's technique, he probably could with his own technique though

@@TheHun73r_ it’s the opposite. Chester used some kind of fry screams, which are using a lot less air, than false chord screams (which Alex does). I dont want to disrespect Chester, but 17 seconds or whatever ain’t that hard to pull off with fry screams. Some people can hold this shit for over 30s.

@@TheHun73r_ false, Alex can do that. He once posted a clip on Instagram, where he did that.

Totally blew me away. I think we are so used to Alex doing the low growls that we dont give his full range the credit it deserves.

One Step Closer did for you, what Crawling did for me. I still remember the first time I heard it in the car and just sat there in awe.

he does full bore operatic for his cover of O Fortuna, it's like a 5 second burst of choir

I have a weird relationship with minutes to midnight. In my book, and I think in everybody's book, it's down there. But still, some of my favorite Linkin Park songs are on that album. Given Up, No More Sorrow, Leave Out All the Rest, What I've Done. These are all some of my favorite LP songs and it came from one of the most "okay" LP albums.

Everyone fell off after minutes to midnight and never understood why. Their albums after were so good. A thousand suns is my favorite one. Too good.

The sound changed when they started self producing, something that upset me at the time but now I LOOOOOVE
@fuckinjefff95292 жыл бұрын
@@Roguenjosh I feel that...totally understandable, man. Have you checked them all out since? like i said a thousand suns is my favorite but the hunting party is their heaviest since that change.
@Roguenjosh2 жыл бұрын
Yeah of course I listen to LP every day and have done since living things came out, even when I wasn’t keeping up from minutes to living things I was still listening to the first 3 albums

@@Roguenjosh Got you. Today marks 5 years since chester passed too...so RIP to the legend himself. On a side note you should check out more rolo tomassi, man. I hate that I miss your streams, but I'm in LA and your stream starts at like 3 am haha...but check out closer if you haven't already. Beautiful song.

Oh yeah he could definitely do the whole thing in his growl. Just not in the high register as obviously not something he practices that often. At least thats my thought on it maybe he can.

I loved how he did it

I honestly believe he didn't do it like Chester to show respect + probably decided to go half and half......... you know since it is a cover and with covers you take a song and make it into your type of style
