Jody just had the reaction any old fan of Linkin Park has everytime we listen to any of their songs after Chester passed 💔 I don't think that will ever change. RIP Chester, leyend.

Chester is the best. He introduced me to heavy music and helped me to express my feelings. As a (quiet) kid I didn’t pay attention to the lyrics because English isn’t my first language, but I always loved the raw emotions and after his death a whole new layer (the lyrics) was added to my favorite band.

Awesome reaction guys! The crazy thing is that he did the big scream in two parts, but in the original song and a lot of concerts he actually did the full 18 seconds scream without any problem! Chester really was on another level! ... An for sure you should a full journey! You'll be very surprised!

Thank you for the heartfelt reaction. A huge part of Rock n' Roll died when we lost Chester and Chris Cornell. They were really close friends and Chris' death out of the blue really hit Chester hard from what little we know, and it seems like he just couldn't recover and took his own life two months later...Rest in Power Chris and Chester, we'll keep you and your music alive so long as we draw breath.

I remember listening to hybrid theory on my discman non stop, i was 10 years old and would put the CD on repeat while playing spider-man on my ps1. Still can't believe Chester is gone. Everytime i see reacts, it hits me again. (i'm aware given up is not on hybrid theory, i'm just mentioning it because of how much influence Linkin Park has had in my life since i was a kid)
@leahlune Жыл бұрын
The reason Linkin is spelled that way is bc the band couldn’t afford the website address spelled the “correct” way. I actually just heard this in one of Mike Shinoda’s recent interviews
@Grunge_Guru_ Жыл бұрын
I heard it was where Chester and Mike grew up, in Lincoln Park, Chicago.
@dancerkris95 Жыл бұрын
@@Grunge_Guru_No Lincoln Park is a park in California. Chester drove by that park every day to go meet with the band and he came up with the idea to use it for their new name after "Xero" and "Hybrid Theory". But they found out that they couldn't use the spelling of it so they changed the spelling to Linkin. All of the guys are from California except for Chester he's from Arizona.

We are coming up on 6 years since we lost Chester and when you hear this song.... Well you now know what he was saying. He was crying out for help but all we could do is just head bang and sing along instead of hearing the message. This goes out to ANYONE including myself dealing with mental health. We are strong but its always okay to not be okay and if someone literally come to you for help don't downgrade it. Talk to them and listen to them. You may just br their final hope.

He was always sending out a message to look after yourselves, but also secretly asking for it himself. we knew but we didnt realise. I hate that. at the least we may have let a man live another day. The time doesnt matter. AHHHH I hate complex emotions. Chester was a mad lad anyway, lets give him that

It is names after a Lincoln Park that Chester used to drive by on the way to the studio every day. Mike Shinoda's father is Japanese. I think his full name is Michael Kenji Shinoda.

The way the put his foot on the "Pedestal" or box or something its to help with the screams. That position put more pressure on the diaphragm (i think) and help to when he is doing long screams. I vocal coach explained that in one reaction.

It's pretty ridiculous that the official band channel is censoring the word "fuck". There might be better videos of this song, but you got the idea. I read a book about the Chicago Fire. Idk when exactly, I'm typing this so I can't go look up what year. But there was a historical fire that burned a large portion of Chicago. While reading this book I learned about this place that didn't burn where people had gone to called Linkin Park. Somewhere in the middle of the city burning down this one place hadn't burned. I've always wondered if that was related to the band name.
