With due respect go and read a book about Balkan History. The ancient Macedonians were Greek. The southern Slavs that settled in the northern borders of Macedonia during the early Medieval period (ie alot later than Alexander the Great ) when there was alot of movement of various peoples in the Balkans are "geographical"' macedonians at best completely unrelated to Alexander the Great who identified as a Greek. Good luck on the rest of post WW2 mythology.

Actually, the genetic evidence gives a different perspective. The South Slavs are older population than the Greeks because they have a dominant I-haplogroup, which is the only autochthonous haplogroup to Europe and has been present at least from the last Glacial Maximum. Good luck with the Greek mythology.
