Well done Alex for playing over 100 games. Best wishes for the future.

Alex, you're a great bloke and forget the haters...they have no idea just how truly difficult AFL is to play. You gave your all and I honestly thought you'd remain in the team moving forward for at least a couple of more years. All the best in the future!

Sad to see him go as I thought was ok, the same goes for Culley the kid didn't even get a real crack at it in the AFL team. For most WAFL games he was the only one consistently having a good crack!

The real backline culprits were Rotham & Cole, them 2 have so many weaknesses which the opposition would consistently use against us.

I always rated him as a player even if he had bad days or poor moments. He had a couple of BOG’s can’t argue with that

i would of kept him in the team for at least another year , especially if players get injured .

Fun fact only 7 games played difference between Cummings and Witherden. No doubt they can relate to each other fairly well there. It's a shame that Witherden didn't quite make it. His precision skills were his asset, and from what I can see they were a bit better early on in his career. I would love to know what the reason or reasons were for some of the games he played where he was giving away some really bad turnovers. Had he nailed those opportunities I think he'd still have a place, he'd probably be preferable over a Tom Cole in my view.

He was a turnover king I'm surprised he lasted this long.

I believe the AFL needs to do more to help players transition from footy. Players mental.health can decline quickly. Well done Alex witherdon... Coaching is an option ...umpiring maybe He's a good athlete.

If the government can't even do it doubt the AFL will.

@@nevvanclarke9225 You must only see a quarter of government & corporation greed to believe any system will be put in place if its not annoying the rich/powerful
