When I first heard this song on the radio it sounded like this! Once I got the LP _(Hearsay)_ I was kind of disappointed that it was different. To say there's no great music today, would be a lie. There is, really innovative stuff. But just, something about the industry in the 80's, i can't quite put my finger on it. The thought process behind it, the collaborations, the team ups, (Teddy, Jam Babyface, and a whole bunch who's names escape me i apologize) i suppose CORPORATE labels weren't massive back then. The level of creativity, the writing, the planning, the instruments used along with the studio tech at the time,the rise of club/soul if you will, nothing can hold a candle to this type of set, nothing!!!!!
