This song gets me extra emotional because I feel like it could be directed at me. I've only ever dated one guy, during my freshman year, and I ended things not because I didnt love him but because I was confused with my sexuality and knew I would break his heart if our relationship went on and we fell deeper just for me to not be able to be with him physically (as in sexually) because I was already thinking about a future with that boy. It didnt help that I never thought I was good enough for him. But yeah I'm sure I broke his heart anyways. We're still friends at 18 (well he'll be 18 soon lol) and as far as I know he's been with the same girl since the beginning of Senior year. I'm happy for him. She's also awesome. And he looks happy. But it just feels like I let my soulmate go. And I don't think I'll ever be able to love someone like that ever again. I'm sure I'll fall in love again one day. Just not like that. Right person wrong time I guess. I never made things better for myself. I could have explained everything other than my sexuality troubles but I guess it was just too hard for me to say. So, I just stayed firm in saying I was only into girls. When the truth is he's just the only guy I could ever be with. If I dont someday end up with him somehow I know I'll never end up with a guy at all. But yeah. . .I think that if I said everything about how I feel I would have a chance with him. But I also dont think I deserve it. I broke his heart once after all. And the sad part is it was nobody's fault. We were young teens and I didnt know who I was and couldnt be in a relationship. I wasnt ready. I was confused. I wasnt confident in myself. And I couldnt love myself. Everything is different now but in the end I feel like letting him go forever is the right thing to do. He's happy after all. As far as I know anyways. And I actually like his girlfriend and I would never want to do anything to destroy that even if I just want to talk to him and relieve the weight on my chest. Maybe one day. I just wish he knew how much I love him. I think it hit me just how much I adore him when I actually backed down from an argument, even knowing I was right, because he started to get actually annoyed with me for the first time and I backed down because I didnt want him to hate me or think badly of me. Just that split second of displeasure directed towards me made me give up the whole argument. I've never done that for anybody. Not even my parents. I'm very passionate when I argue and I never back down. But after that brief moment I had to sit at my desk trying to compose myself and not cry. I kind of failed and stayed with my head down for a while. But yeah, for the first time ever I wasnt concerned about the school project we were arguing about. I wasnt concerned with being right. I wasnt concerned about the argument. I was just concerned that I had made him mad. I cant even explain how much that threw me for a loop. I was mortified for crying and being somewhat immature during the argument, I was sad and concerned about making him upset with me, and overall extremely baffled at myself for stepping down. Pretty sure my mouth literally clicked shut and I didnt even finish what I was saying before leaving and going back to the classroom. Love changes people thats for sure lol

If it's meant to happen it'll happen one way or another and if it's not then I hope and pray you find someone else who you love even more than him and makes you forget him and treats you well and with love, and when things get hard just keep your head up and do what you have to do it's not gonna be easy but you got this I promise your so much more capable than you think, stay safe and take care of yourself

I broke up with my Ex because I started to lose my emotions again due to all of my stress and because him and his best friend (My now bestie she's a girl btw) were flirting with each other. After we broke up they got together and broke up three weeks later. Now me and him are back to being friends but we talk more often then we used to and no matter what I do I still can't get over him.
