Just in case you didn’t know, the samurai armor description says it is from the far off land of reeds. Ashina translates in English to “reed”

My theory whilst playing was that this is the "Lands Between" all of the places in Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro. Not Demon's Souls because that's confirmed to be a different universe that's almost a parallel one to Dark Souls.

I'm sure you saw during editing but the Assassin-boss starts with less health already. Also you can kill the skellies by just hitting them as they're reviving, holy dmg just forces them to die instantly.

Yeah so I kinda headed east pretty early game, so the Mariner was like the fourth boss I met, I thought It was awesome. (Sort of spoiler) But you can find D in the open world if you go early game before roundtable hold

I hope someone eventually tells him jumping before a fall or double jumping during one with your horse does absolutely nothing, in some cases the jump may actually give you enough height to die from the fall. Also the fact that hes not really doing a jump attack, that's with R2.

I'm screaming every time I see him just give up against the skeletons when he just has to try attacking their glowing bodies once to stop their revival. I hope he figures this out because he's way more scared of them than he needs to be. I know he's not looking at comments for help but he's missing some stuff that could be helpful without spoiling anything, things that I'm confident he won't find out at all unless he gets super lucky. It'll be hard to figure out the undead revival mechanic on his own as well because of his own conditioning. I love his playthrough I just wish he would accept a bit of help in regards to gameplay like this, in the past he never cared about general gameplay tips.

I prefer his raw gameplay. Maybe it's just the old fashioned gamer in me that never had any help at all, and had to figure it all out on my own, but that's the style I like and Mapo really does it well. Although I'm certainly not going to be hating if he wants some tips, everybody should be allowed to play how they enjoy.

Obviously I’ll miss stuff but it’s so much more satisfying for me to get the know the game myself and see how I’ll take myself through the game. There is illusory walls in the mines where you find smithing stone shards so if you don’t find a boss check all the walls that are damped and you will find the boss there.

The black knife assassin was already half health i think its lore connected these were the ones stabbing godwynd in the intro I think make sure to talk to all NPCs and merchants sometime they have more lore for some reason(as you just saw with D)

Yes. They’re also all women. Rumored to be numen, the same species as queen marika, who come from a different world altogether. The lore about numen actually comes from the character creation screen which is wild to me.

And you were right, there is something you're missing - There is another hidden tunnel in the other lift in limgrave tunnel! there is deff a boss there and more enemies to explore! please go check it out! 1:33:28 - you passed it, that's where it is! Also, you have health debuff after hugging lady Fia. Use the item she gave you to get rid of it! I enjoy watching your gameplay so much, it's so relaxing watching you after work. I watch your ER gameplay on the bus on my way home.

Hey Mapo! Glad you enjoying the game. Don't you date rush it please even if it means a couple of hundred episodes. I for one would be glad if it will be this much. There is so much in lands between ( and below as you already found out) you wouldn't beleive. Let it all sink in. Take your time. I also find it hilarious that in today's episode you probably have been curse at some catacombs with unobservant curse. There were so many times when you looked straight at some secret or shortcut or place of interest and just ignored it. I guess it's one of those days. On the other hand there will be things to discover in consecutive playthroughs. Have a great day, mate.

About the comment of the map, its been a huge help to me too. I have ADHD and in this game there is a LOT of squirrel (if you have ADHD, you know what i mean.) Being able to mark point of interest to future me directly in the game is incredibly useful, plus it keeps me immerse. LOVE IT !!!

I mean he was in hiding in the Dungeon and only alone already implies the fate of the Black Knife Assasins as a group after their successful kil, meaning that their group suffered a counterattack and resulting them to be scattered and hidden in the dungeons. Helps find the story by using the context behind their stories and such.

I'm still on my first playthrough and about 90h in... So I quess, doing everything I know exists will probably net me another 20h easily.... And in the mean time some speedrunner made it faster than 50 minutes (which I can't watch due to potential spoilers xD). I'm having a blast, although late-game area and bosses are more frustrating than exciting as a lot is reused and just made insanely strong. (even with lvl 120+) I'm so much looking forward to another 24-30 episodes, Chris :)
