I do think he's right about how humans probably can create better and more creative boulders than nature can, but there is something about how natural boulders will be there in 50 years, every time you ascend something, its a little piece of permanent history.

This is awesome, but I personally would prefer if you don't cut between the moves. It was more disorienting than cool and made it seem like the boulder was only done in moves and not continously. If the concern was that they were to slow then I'd much rather see a full send sped up than only seing cuts of the individual moves. But this is just my opinion of course, othes might disagree!

Thank you for your criticism, that was actually a point we thought about for a long time, as we fear that many viewers will find sequences that are too long boring.

Standard comp rules for the most part but that bit with more points if less people do a boulder is an interesting variant which I really like the idea of, hadn't heard it before but it makes sense.

Suuuch a sick comp. Nice one Alex. And on the final debate about plastic vs natural climbing. The creativity climbing outdoors is to find the best way to climb insane lines, indoor climbs imitate what we find when being creative and moving through outdoor climbs, not the other way round haha! But fair enough to Yannick, everyone has their opinion even if its wrong 😜

Amazing comp and ridiculous climbing aside. Am the only one who seems to think that Alex is wearing a prototype or custom tenaya shoe? It looks like a mastia but without the M design and maybe a bigger toe patch and different colored tabs. Maybe I'm trying to find details that dont exist but if its an updated Mastia in the works count me in I love this model to death

The problem about some ppl in the German pro scene for me is that they tend to act like a**holes as a „joke“ and do controversial statements like the debated one as a joke all of the time. Which is fine - kinda. But some of them are doing it so often that it leaves a rather weird(?) impression.. to a point where some of their „jokes“ and ironic arrogance blend in with their real personality, starting to become true rather than a joke. Once you have that feeling, some start to question all of their „jokes“ although the majority of them are quite obviously real jokes. But I kinda get it tbh.

I think route setting outdoors should only be done by people who can prove that they're definitely too stupid to find a rock that suits them as it is. The respective certificate (of stupidity) should then be an obligatory part of one's CV for life. 😉

Are u sure that ability to find rocks is about your intellect?..
@jakobbauz9 ай бұрын
@@НиколайТобиас Well, route setting outdoors as mentioned in the video means to change the rock; so you already have to have found some to do it. The question is whether you find a rock (within all of the rock) that suits you. And since there's really all difficulties wherever you find rock outdoors... what else would it be about but your intelligence?
