So weird the way you guys play BUTTON STRADDLE up here in Canada when we button straddle the small blind is first to act then makes it easier then doing a loopdy loop
@thecocktailian20916 ай бұрын
It's just Texas. They have to do things as wacky as possible. Everywhere else action just starts after the straddle and continues as normal.

What does it mean when someone says they have a blocker card…i dont get how you block someone with one card
@grifter847 ай бұрын
You never completely block with just one card, but holding that card reduces the odds considerably of another player has a card of the same rank. The queen in my hand makes it materially less likely (though not impossible) that my opponent holds pocket queens, for example.

Top pair or even two pair is never a good calling hand on the river when someone jams it all-in over the pot-size. There's almost always going to be a set waiting there. That's how idiots play, not calling you an idiot, but more of the not-so-good players at the table are always calling with a pair or two pair, that's how we make money.
@MasonTheSlayer7 ай бұрын
It’s a polarizing bet for a reason either he has it or a missed draw is trying to buy the pot. Especially against an action player
@ericy56707 ай бұрын
This logic is correct at low stakes. At high stakes it could go either way, good players should have more bluffs than value for overbets. Tricktime is a capable opponent here

ultimate final action on the button straddle is ridiculous and stupid
@insertfakenamehere77717 ай бұрын
I mean, it is weird. But it is just a betting order quirk. The way they do it, I would never be putting a straddle down because it doesn't make much sense financially. 'Ridiculous and stupid' would be "2's are wild!"
@ooHPuReNrGOoh7 ай бұрын
@@insertfakenamehere7771 Idk i don’t mind the idea that if the button straddles then preflop action starts on the SB and ends on the button, but the idea that there can be 3-bets and 4-bets back and forth before the button makes any action is silly
