fun fact: before Beyoncé made an appearance on this show, Simon Cowell always stated that Beyoncé couldn’t sing and that her body isn’t all that, so she purposely wore this beautiful dress that hugged her body just right and gave him effortless vocals and then after this, Simon did an interview and said that she came on the show and sang better than anyone he has ever heard live and he now knows why people call her The Queen lmao!

@@Beldvlmnt The 2 BEST Beyoncé high note moments for me was when she sang “listEn”at 3:52 and the other one was when she sang “gavE” at 2:38. She made the song sound EFFORTLESS and I can imagine her thinking to herself at that point “no problem, I’ll hit the note” 😊

A big night for Alexandra but looking back this was also such a big moment for Bey in the UK eyes. it really did take her to the next level here, with EVERYONE. I remember watching that night when I was about 13-14 and my gosh I’ve never seen a better singer to this day

I have watched this performance so many times since that final in 2008. Alexandra did so well, to stand there and deliver the song like she did with Beyoncé stood next to her. Beyoncé is one of a kind and probably the most versatile, most talented singer/performer out there.
