Man, hate that happened. But anybody telling you it's because you share your shop, doesn't know they are many tools that can find successful shops and clones them by scraping them, as an IT person myself, I know it would be good if redbubble did a scan for exact images, there are tools like tineye or duplichecker that do internet scans for images and keywords. But thanks for being transparent and truly always helpful.

I’m so glad you got it taken care of. Redbubble makes reporting pretty easy. Amazon is a little tricky with reporting, but usually they can get things taken down too. When you said “get other designs taken down for fun”. Haha 😂 The concept of someone doing that as like a recreational activity is hilarious. Luckily Redbubble knows reporting is serious.

I don't believe it really has anything to do with your sharing your shop. I have ONE design up, and ONE design stolen and no one even knows I exist. They found me, they can find you without even knowing you do videos. Bud-Blake-1679 and Ivory-Evans-335 two thieves same day.

In one video, you talk about how you made $ 20,000 on one design, and why don't you say that you made that kinda money in 5 or more years time period? And when it comes to design theft, Redbubble supports it because it's all about money for them. When you complain that someone stole your work, they delete that work, the opposite party can appeal, after which you have 14 days to file a lawsuit. If you don't file a lawsuit, Redbubble will reinstall the design. And will you actually sue someone who is from India, China and so on? Good luck with that

I Dont sell that one on Redbubble but I sell it on Shutterstock and Freepik! Dont know if its legal or not selling designs from microstock to Print on demand! It always amazes me when someone puts forth so much effort to try to game the system somehow. When if they’d just do it right they’d have something that would be theirs and not at risk. 6:12 Actually, it probably took them no time at all. Things like that are easy to automate. If all your designs were stolen, and all of the info is identical, more than likely they just fed your shop URL to a script which did all the work for them.

Yeah I thought it was a bot or something if it copied everything exact even the tags. No human would spent this much amount of time taking tags and every other detail, unless they have no life. It’s too crazy.

@@FashionnArt Well, not necessarily. Even if it was a human doing it manually, it's still way faster then creating a new design from scratch and coming up with the title/description/tags yourself. The title and description are literally just select, copy/paste. The tags are a tiny bit more tricky since they're separated by spaces instead of commas like when you're uploading, but that takes maybe 30 seconds to fix, and pretty sure there's a browser extension that lets you copy properly formatted tags anyways... But yeah, why would you bother doing it manually if you can automate it. And since it's her entire shop, highly likely it was automated. Because why bother hand-picking specific designs with separate URLs, when you can just use a single shop URL and pull everything.

Didn't take them much time probably cause most of her so called designs are from Canva free images library! It's free images for eveyone to use so I don't know how can it be called stolen! But copying the name, tags and descriptions is a nasty thing to do!

I've had an ebay store for years and routinely watermark all of my photos. People on ebay still steal them and post listings with my stores watermark clearly visible on the pics!!! 😡 just starting on redbubble and set my store up there with your help. Thank you!!!

Thank you for making this video. I m about to make my store in Redbubble tonight. Your store is great! sorry to hear about someone stealing your ideas. I worry about that. That is why I waited and watched videos to be encouraged. I had businesses before and other merchants stole my ideas and copied all my stuff (retail location) and it was awful and basically put me out of business. This is back in 2000. I thought Redbubble had said that our large files would not be accessible to download and very safe. I am sorry this happened to you, but it is also discouraging to all artists who might have spent days or more on their art to have it stolen away. It should not have been allowed or possible in the first place. They could have tried selling them somewhere else where Redbubble could not have done anything about it. Wish there were more safety. the designs should be wayyyy better protected because of this my friend wont put his logo name wich he paid for and is a super well known name and would make crazy money with and it would be simpler for him. instead of having to pay to have all his stuff made and sell them on his site and he ships it all himself, it's crazy, he has had it stolen 5 times now and put on redbubble so do you think he will put on there him self and get stollen more? How to protect your designs? Answer: DO NOT SHARE THEM ON KZbin. There's a whole bunch of "gurus" that only teach how to "improve" other people's designs. If you take a look at most of those guru's videos you will notice that the first thing they do is to show what's selling and tell you to copy it. Some people can't create anything, so the only thing they can do is to steals ideas, designs... I've been in the POD industry since 2012 and one thing I've learn: do not make things easy for the copy cats (thieves)... If they want to steal something from you, let them work hard to find the designs.

Not all of us are born a Picasso and for some of us its hard to have "original inspiration". I am extremely technical and logical so I have that part of my brain lit up, im terrible at original design. What I have to do is look at other designs to GET INSPIRED to make something new. But its not like I can see a picture in my head of literally something that's never been drawn, painted, or created and make that. Very talented artists are the only ones who can do that. Do I copy/steal work? No, and as a matter of fact there is nothing wrong with seeing other work to get ideas to do your own thing, that's like saying: "no one can paint a car of any type or an airplane or a UFO or anything like that because it has elements which are SIMILAR to pre-existing designs". Saying "Some people can't create anything, so the only thing they can do is to steals ideas, designs..." is a toxic thing to say because you're basically talking about 90% of the population (with regard to design or art). Hell, even some music tracks sound a lot like other ones, clear example: Ice Ice Baby, and Under Pressure. But Vanilla Ice will swear up and down he didn't "steal" that, was it a subconscious thing? Maybe, who knows. Maybe its possible that since the advent of recent society and technological breakthroughs we have exhausted most of the ideas and inspirations "in the ether" and so now since there are so many of us someone is bound to create something that's similar to something that already pre-exists, whether it was inspired or not. What the person in the video example above did, was blatant ripping off of content. But just because some people can't have that "divine inspiration" or "original creativity" doesn't make them content thieves.

For those who just started pod and don't have any graphic design skills its essential to look how people do it to learn how to express your own idea in a appealing way. It doesn't mean you copy their designs.

Bud-Blake-1679 and Ivory-Evans-335 both stole my design the same day/time. Funny thing is I have my "name" embedded in my art as part of the design, kind of not obvious, but if I point it out, it's clear their art has my logo name, so I can prove it's mine.
